nostr checkins should happen every day with everyone..not bitcoin talk, not code talk. Just a simple what you are doing, and pics are great. I saw three posts now and its kind of comforting to see what everyone is up to. Living simultaneously together on nostr.

My wife has a much older half sister.

They’ve always had an estranged relationship.

One time they were having friction and the half sister was going to send her a letter to express how she felt about things.

I had met this woman a few times and was always nice and cordial to her, even going out of my way for her and her daughter to take them to the airport, buy dinner or tickets etc…

The letter arrives and before my wife opens it we go for a small walk and I tell her to try her best to reconcile because family is family etc…

Finally my wife opens the letter and half the letter is complaining about me lol

Pure projection, lots of things about me that aren’t even true. Mainly she was jealous about our marriage and the fact that my wife is a stay at home mom.

I was like this crazy bitch lol no wonder nobody in the family likes her.

At that point I told my wife I wasn’t going to give her any advice and she can have whatever relationship she wants.

They haven’t spoken since.

The point of the story is this, you never know who is sticking up for you when you aren’t around.

Try not to burn bridges unless you absolutely have to.

this is my first nostr post, it seems much interesting than mastodon

Hey nostr, been busy prepping for our little trip on Thursday. I got my little kale starts in the ground, finally. Then I started packing some things for the trip, and checking off a few things on my list. We've been putting out extra food and water for the animals, plus extra hay because its supposed to get down into the 30's tonight.

My husband just received his new rock tumbler in the mail, so he's busy setting it up. It's one of his little hobbies, and some of those rocks actually turn out very pretty after tumbling.

So that's about it, we're just living a quiet life out here, and enjoying each day. Yall have a good evening nostr friends. Remember to be grateful for the good things in your life. #grownostr #homesteading #countrylife
