I think you can only really get just above 1k using public relays. They probably have limits to help with data storage. The thing im most happy about with following at least 2k people is that the nostr feed always feels fresh and new and full.

I wonder if part of why I often get zero engagement regardless of follower count growth is because a lot of people mute me or block me without unfollowing me for some reason

I just want to be able to access mirrors of my server that I keep at other locations but all connected through tailscale/headscale so I can have geographically separated servers in trusted places to enable 100% uptime with as little third party risk as possible.
I’m sure there’s holes in my logic and also ways to do this already. Who has ideas? Where can I learn more?

Anyone know where to find a reliable good deal?
It’d be cool to be able to federate your start9 or umbrel server and put an old laptop at a parent, uncle, sibling, or friends house and everything connected by tailscale or headscale so that if you lose internet or power at your house you still have an instance of your server up. Of course you could do vps but it’s easier to trust a relative than a company.
