Similar thing here in the #UK.
Only 50% of the population voted.
Out of that 30% voted for labour and they got 300+ seats.
14% voted reform and they got 5 seats.
7% voted lib dem and they got 67 seats.
The system is working perfectly to gatekeep power.
If the Conservatives in france had done what the left did le pen would have won.
But they didnt want to be called racist....

I dont think they are. Not at the grassroots level.
Election wise both the #UK and #French systems worked as designed, to gate keep power.
Here in the uk only 30% of voters (in only a 50% turnout) voted labour. Of that number the vast majorities reason was "to get the tories out".
The younger gen z and older Gen alpha are moving more to the right.
But ultimately at the end of the day these old definitions dont matter.
It's becoming more and more a realignment of top to bottom. People are slowly realising it's us the people against an elite class.
And the elite are being defined buy their ideologies rather than their class background.

I fear it will just be another social contaigion we move on from, one to the next.
I'm an old man that has earned his cynicism, i still remember the trend of eating disorders, before that self-harm, before that feminist superiority and im sure the list goes on.
This is the downside of a culture that palaces to much emphasis on safety, hapiness and "mental health" . As in, you must be permanently happy to be in good mental health.
Evey little bad mood, or imagine slight becomes a diagnosis of something bigger.
It's ok to be sad once in awhile.
And the small number of people with a real issue, that need compasion and help get drowned out and swept aside. And those that facilited all this will bever be held to account.
