Has Anybody found a usable NOSTR client for people running #MobileLinux ?
I wish I had the skills to their together a #gtk sobering like th Tuba Fediverse client but for nostr.
Spreading the word wherever I may roam.
I'm using Syncthing. Butb haven't done a working way use it to sync notes between Android and my PC. 3rd party meaning Obsidian for example, paying for an account to sync between devices. Limited resources on VPS so Open Notes or Joplin isn't something I'm interested in. I've got an ok solution for now tho.
Hmmm, Mastodon instance is down. I could pole around and see what's going on...or, I could consider this a sign to shut it down. I think we're gonna shut it down. Although, it is a good platform to use for communication with some FOSS projects, maybe I'll throw out a suggestion to come over to NOSTR first.
Yes I am aware, that is what the plan is. If I go with Alby it'll be on my VPS. Or I may go with Zeus and an embedded node and run it on one of the many unused Android devices at home, I can keep that plugged in and leave it in a drawer.
That being said coinos.io isn't looking overly promising as temporary solution. Was able to withdraw from SlackerNews to them but not receiving any zaps from NOSTR into it.
That's how I do here in Maine. Scallops are the only seafood I like and this is the way to do it.
That or AlbyHub is the plan. Not an option tho until I get caught up on some bills and can top my Bitcoin wallet off again, depleted that to pay towards some unexpected expenses. Right now I just need something to hold a small amount of sats for zaps.
Joplin does yes. I just didnt really want to run separate server side software specifically for notes alone. I've never heard of Obsidian, maybe I'll take a look into them later. Do you know how they work? I'd be ok if it were syncing directly between pc and mobile somehow but In looking to avoid using a 3rd party. For now I'm using Plainpad on my server because I access it on PC and install it as a PWA on Android.
Alby shitting down shared wallet in January. Switched to using StackerNews temporarily and they are now doing the same. Testing jawsh@coinos.io hopefully this week work for zaps for a little while at least. Once I catch up on a these bullshit bills I can top up my Bitcoin wallet and skin up my own node.
Couldn't they gave taken any FOSS iOS client and just forked, themed with their brand color and logo and had parity that way?
Syncing notes between Android and Linux should be simple enough, but it seems that no Android note apps store notes as separate txt, md, etc. So even when you get your directory to sync, you're still unable to open and view them on the Linux side.
He kinda can, you could in turn use the million dollars for Bitcoin. Just take an extra step.
He was a street rat! According to Disney anyways.
