We have to keep using GIF because of Apple’s policy in Safari. Safari will auto play gifs, but is much more picky about autoplaying mp4. The majority of internet users base their entire attention and decisions on video, and if you don’t autolay video for them, they will quickly switch back to instagram or TikTok. This is the cold reality.

1) On the web app, we can't seem to get our "followers" number to populate (see screenshot)

2) on iOS, we don't see anything under "Zaps"

Do you have recommendations on how to fix these issues? My guess it isn't related to relays, since Nostr.band shows our followers number?

thanks!

Zaps work better when using a cloud-based node like Alby Hub or Rizful.

It's funny. I distinctly remember fighting with the question "What is the height of this image and how can my page know the height before my page loads..." ... back around 2009! It still seems to be a general problem in web development. I've fought with it recently in my web dev also....

nostr:npub1yzvxlwp7wawed5vgefwfmugvumtp8c8t0etk3g8sky4n0ndvyxesnxrf8q when using an iPad with the iOS app I am getting some "jumpy" behavior when scrolling down the page. .. I think it is related to the fact that the app might not know the height of media like image and video media loads... sometimes when it loads it reflows the page or columns in a confusing way.

Dude pls chill with this. Hate does you no good. When your ancestors came over 100 years ago, people probably thought they were some scary other race too.

A lot of people run BTC nodes without any economic incentive. And running a Nostr relay is theoretically is a lot less resource intensive -- at least in terms of HD space....
