Another variable is, because Nostr's way of operating is relatively analogous to Bitcoin, and now integrates Bitcoin into the user experience, Nostr is very attractive and easily understandable and adaptable to the Bitcoin community which, broadly speaking, holds as core values speaking truth, disagreeableness, and improving the world which translates practically into more authentic and meaningful interactions on Nostr relative to other platforms.
It doesn't matter how much you hate the government and the companies who are addicted to government printed money, it makes no difference because until money is separated from state, people in government will continue to cave to the temptation to go into debt. Therefore, use Bitcoin to separate money from state and then it will matter much less how corrupt the government and corrupt companies are because they won't be able to finance their evil way of life.
At first, it massively increased my motivation to post and interact on Nostr. But then I noticed I was only interacting to get paid, which didn't feel good.
So now I've switched to writing and interacting in a way that I enjoy, with much less regard for whether I'll get paid, and also letting out my disagreeable side. ;)
Your strategy isn't far afield from my strategy.
They make those assertions in the face of mountains of evidence that Bitcoin is being used in the real world, which means they haven't taken the time to learn what Bitcoin is and how it's being used by real people around the world, which means, to this point, they don't want to take the time to understand what they don't know, which means their words are noise and can be safely ignored, is the way it seems to me.
It's hard to be prideful while also seeking to learn.
Good insights Liberty Bean. And you're right! Engineering systems, including social systems that motivate choices and behavior that lead to human flourishing is extremely important. However, I would argue that those actions are a large part of the puzzle, yet there is another part of the puzzle which is speaking the truth in a kind way that exposes people to a level of awareness of their words and actions that are in contradiction to their espoused values. Becoming negative and oppositionalist to Twitter and Elon Musk seems like a waste of time better invested in building something new because a person becomes what they focus on, even if they are focused on what they don't want to become. Of course, I could be wrong. But I think it's pretty ironic that some people who may have complained about the negativity of Twitter culture are also deciding to imbue negativity towards Twitter on Nostr. Those people are guilty of what they have accused others of doing. I've certainly been guilty of the same thing! But I think the hilarity and irony of this situation is worth pointing out and even making fun of, to some degree. Thank you for your input!

They were serving government funded by fiat currency, trying to take away the voices of people they didn't like.
In reality, since people have the power to choose, there is no such thing as solutions.
There are only trade offs relative to a person's values.
Some of those trade offs lead to Heaven, and others lead to Hell.
Often times when people talk about solutions, they don't understand the important and varied and sometimes extremely sophisticated variables involved.
The best each person can do, if they want to improve the world, is to integrate themselves with reality practically, emotionally, physically, spiritually, relationally and financially, and identificationally, and then make choices and then take actions to steward what they, and really, what you and I have been given.
After all, the question is not, "What is the meaning of life?"
The real question is, What meaning will you make of life?
There is a story humanity is living out that has meaning innate to it, however, "It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter."
If you want to learn how to make your life, the lives of others, and the world itself a better place, in kindness and humility, seek shrewdness and wisdom in service of a vision that isn't separated from reality.
You may use the language of human flourishing, and those are good words.
I use the words of Revelations 21:
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying:
“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man,
and He will dwell with them.
They will be His people,
and God Himself will be with them as their God.
‘He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,’
and there will be no more death
or mourning or crying or pain,
for the former things have passed away.”
If you and I, together and separately, serve humanity from a basis of reality, we can gain Heaven on Earth. In the context of a vision of freedom, we can become free, not as a solution path, but as living out a story in service of one another and a vision based in reality that, with God, can become real.
It's funny to me how some people on Nostr are anti Twitter and anti Elon Musk, but think Nostr is better. Both involve people, fallible, imperfect people. Being against something so vociferously is simply swinging to another extreme, not solving a problem or making a genuine contribution to humanity.
It would be far better to celebrate the good, and celebrate competence, before casting aspersions, because otherwise those casting the stone can become a worse version of what they complain about.

Excellent insight xekcc. It's superb how scripture speaks of deep principles. It's speaking to the nature of reality itself, and trying to bring people education in what actually exists so they won't destroy themselves. It's very powerful.
Your outer world is a manifestation of your inner world.
If you want some part of your outer world to change, first ask, "What needs to change inside me to get what I want?"
When you put yourself through the experiences necessary to have that part in you improve that needs to change, then you are closer to winning.
You can't do something to yourself that you're not also, in some sense, doing to other people.
First come beliefs, which produce feelings.
You can choose what beliefs to hold or reject, which will then change how you feel.
Feelings and emotions are real, but they are not reality.
Feelings and emotions are indicators, but bad dictators.
If you make choices to select and act on reality based beliefs, then your emotions and feelings will follow them, adding to your life joy and meaning.
Then you will be more effective at interelating with yourself and others, then you can win.
