Obree (short, 2018)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKta3RPyLIo

In 1993, amateur cyclist Graeme Obree’s unusual riding position and homemade bike earned him a maverick status, but little success. 'Obree' chronicles his remarkable final attempt at cycling glory that year. Blocking his path is the establishment darling Chris Boardman, whose eyes are also firmly fixed on the same feats. OBREE STUDENT FILM (2018). Dissertation project for archive documentary degree.

Germ brings end-to-end messaging to Bluesky. It's a messenger based on MLS encryption (like nostr:nprofile1qqs8t4ehcdrjgugzn3zgw6enp53gg2y2gfmekkg69m2d4gwxcpl04acpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezumt0d5hsp4ll8s for Nostr). Germ is a separate company and has their own app separate from the BlueSky app. Unclear if this is a partnership or "just" and integration.

Interesting: in the BlueSky iOS app, pressing a Germ link in someone's bio doesn't download the Germ app but opens an "App Clip" which is a light version of the app that doesn't need you to install the whole app. I believe that Android also has this (unterutulised) feature.

Not sure about the rest of the world, but in the UK you need to pass Age Verification to use Bluesky DMs. 8 assume this will apply to this too, not sure.

I was hoping something like this would happen.

Would be great to have it as communities too.

Let's say Eg you form a huge mesh at Glastonbury, you can then make a nostr-baswd community Glastonbury 2025, or a football match, you then make eg Manchester United Group.

Perhaps options to only have access to the group if you've been involved in a mesh.

🤔

I must be somewhere like this soon.

You just need to follow 5000 more people to get the posts not about the price of bitcoin. Keep going.

So they Japanese talk about the price of bitcoin a lot? Bitcoin slogans? Etc?

I reckon it's a lot less than our side of nostr

I wonder what they're taking about on Japanese nostr

Love the 'mute user publicly' option on jumble.social

This goes so hard.

Yes, it's Christian rock lol.

But it still goes ridiculously hard.

If you disagree, you're just wrong, sorry.

Through the mystic wandering hazes

I can see the fiery faces

Sending judgment down upon the age

We shall dwell and overcome them

All that seek to ruin righteous men

Righteous men

Not one stone upon another

In the temples of the mother

Flames consume the blood of Babylon

In the brightness of His coming

I can hear the world confessing

Bending knee in praises of his name

Through the mystic wandering hazes

I can see the fiery faces

Sending judgment down upon the age

Not one stone upon another

In the temples of the mother

Flames consume the blood of Babylon

nostr:npub1njst6azswskk5gp3ns8r6nr8nj0qg65acu8gaa2u9yz7yszjxs9s6k7fqx now that there is a “social media permit” in the yooookay, how are you bringing nostr to the queen’s and the banksters’ subjects?

I am doing my part by not talking about nostr to anyone, as that would only put them off
