White supremecy bad. Patriachy good.
I wonder if there's even one person in the world who believes Joe Biden would be capable of performing the daily duties of President through 2028.
His "supporters" are guilty of elder abuse.
I did that when I was a kid, but have since forgotten about that. I need to do that today. It's already nippy here in the Midwest.
The 13 Most Soothing, Smooth and All Around Best Shaving Soaps for Men

There are few things that can make a modern man feel more like a classic gentleman than grabbing a proper shaving brush and lathering on a soft layer of a good shaving soap.
Sure, nowadays there are dozens – if not hundreds – of brands pushing various shaving gel, shaving cream and lotion products that can give you all sorts of skin-boosting benefits.
But as Moneypenny said as she (sexily) shaved Daniel Craig’s James Bond in Skyfall: "Sometimes the old ways are the best".
Single blades are single blades, but where traditional wet shaving really gets the rubber hitting the road, or the blade gliding on skin, is the amazing variety of quality shaving soaps and creams. Not only are they good quality, and often artisan made, but they are very good to use on the skin, without having the chemicals or aerosols that come with most commercial shaving products.
I still prefer a harder shaving soap puck, which I use a stiffer brush to lather. But there are no shortage of options out there, and if you look around you'll usually also find artisan soap makers in most cities (and even small towns).
The very essence of the traditional shaving experience typically lies in the soap or cream being used.

I've only tried three of these soaps:
1. Van Der Hagen
2. Colonel Conk
3. Williams Mug Soap
The first two are excellent. I can always find Van Der Hagen at Walmart, and it does the job well. Colonel Conk is a little more expensive (I buy it on Amazon) but has some awesome scents, and lathers up quickly and produces a slick layer of protection.
Williams Mug Soap? Smells awesomely manly, but I say it's the WORST lather ever made! I don't see how this article calls it the "best lather." I get nothing but thin lather full of air bubbles. It's more of a watered-down meringue than a creamy texture. Causes trauma to my face.
I use AntennaPod every day.
It's been years since I used Google Podcasts, and I can't imagine ever using it again.
I'm sure you're all asking, like me, "What's the best way to learn Latin?"
I really like this home school course, called Visual Latin. (It uses ecclesiastical pronunciation!) First four lessons are free. Check it out:

"Trust the science" is a very unscientific slogan.

Fantastic. Even better than Christian pop radio.
Once forgiven of our sins, going forward we should not fear that every fault or sin makes God angry and quick to send us to hell unless we re-repent, as if we have an unsure, on-again-off-again relationship with a moody Jesus. (Of course, for our good and for the sake of justice we should repent of our sins daily. Jesus tells us to pray, “Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.”)
We need not have an ongoing anxiety attack, afraid God's finger is always hovering over the "smite" button. We know Jesus always loves us and will see us through this life’s journey.
But that’s not to say even a single “mortal sin” won't send us to hell. We should feel guilty if we knowingly and willingly commit a serious sin, and we should not feel settled until we repent and receive absolution. Mortal sin is the kind that is a full rejection of God’s grace, and it's how we choose hell unless we repent of it before we die.
For the Catholic, repentance of mortal sin includes going to Confession. It is Jesus’ gift to us, because he knows we are capable of mortal sin even after baptism.
Now if someone is a non-Catholic Christian who genuinely doesn’t know he should be Catholic and go to Confession, then he would need to make a perfect act of contrition, which is much harder. It’s the purest form of repentance which involves perfect sorrow -- not out of fear of hell or the loss of heaven, but purely out of offending God, who is deserving of all our love.
Today, on All Souls Day, let’s pray for all who have died — and for all those we love who are still living — that God would free all from the sin that separates us from him.

This is a phenomenally educational and motivational video on the dangers of (and remedies for) visceral fat.
I know it doesn't sound like the most exciting topic to the average person, but it should be. This kind of fat is killing us. But we can reverse it surprisingly fast.
Two things I tend to do when I wake up in the middle of the night:
(1) I guess how much time I have remaining before my alarm sounds, based on how my eyes feel when I try to opem them. I amaze myself with my accuracy.
(2) I pray for whoever happened to be in the dream I woke up from, which helps me to drift back to sleep.
From the old Catechism of Saint Pius X:
---
225. (12) Who are infidels?
A. Infidels are those who have not been baptised and do not believe in Jesus Christ, because they either believe in and worship false gods as idolaters do, or though admitting one true God, they do not believe in the Messiah, neither as already come in the Person of Jesus Christ, nor as to come; for instance, Mohammedans and the like.
As Christians surrounded by so much Islamaphobia, we must LOVE all Muslims -- and hate Islam, a false and evil religion.

I'll listen to it tomorrow perhaps. There are some awfully big obstacles these days. I'm glad I became Catholic when I did.
I grew up in a church where it was taught that Matthew 5:17 meant we should still be observing the old sabbaths, feasts, and dietary laws, because Jesus did "NOT come to abolish them."
Now a Catholic, I much better understand what Jesus meant.
I don't think you're any less cool if your avatar doesn't show laser beams coming out of your eyes.
Amassing Bitcoin and ammo in dangerous times should not be our first priority. It should be to get, and stay, in the state of grace.
You are speaking my language, brother. Good way to look at it.
Not long ago my wife and I went to La Crosse, WI, for mass with Fr. Carlos Martins, who brought with him a relic of St. Jude's arm. It was an experience.
All holy men and women, pay for us.

Yes. Shame on me, but I think I saw his resting place in Rome (during honeymoon); and with it being such a whirlwind trip, I don't remember it. I will have to sort through my pictures.
But yes, it is moving to be with such relics: a manifestation that the saints are still with us, though not just in their relics but in spirit as they pray for us even now. We need the help of our big brothers and big sisters.
I will have to check that out!
