Well if the only thing your dad can come up with is people with guns back the euro then perhaps he should reconsider which money he puts his faith into. The people who back bitcoin do so in an egalitarian way, there isn’t a small percentage of the population in charge of how much exists or who can use it and what they can use it on. I used to live in Boise, ID. I would sit out on a downtown cafe patio on Friday and Saturday nights with the regulars, drinking and enjoying the chaos of the bar goers. Sunday morning would roll around and the city was deserted, all the cars and people dissolved away to prepare for the work week or attend church. I know it’s a drop in the bucked compared to a city like Cairo but I feel like I can appreciate the contrast, the bliss of being capable of passing from point a to b without so much shoulder bumping.
