Pura vida wallet pretty good if you want to try. It’s built on goloy so similar to some others. I think it’s useful to have a wallet that has both options of on chain and lightning for conversation. It’s a question of finding the correct starting point. Full psychopathy takes time! Saying that, I took one person from “how does it work” to “I’m ordering a cold card” in a couple months! Not the norm though

We have local company here. Custodial wallet. It just makes it easier for me as everyone on same custodial system and don’t have to open up rabbit hole of lightning channels etc at the beginning. Probably easier to do it like that with wallet of satoshi or something. We use puravida bitcoin and I think it helps as you can do lightning but also on chain so triggers conversation about custody etc. There’s loads of options but I think best to identify one and stick with it so not losing time on different wallets etc. I made that mistake and just ended up in long winded conversations going nowhere

I should add if you have a bunch of people, get them to pass it round. That demonstration resulted in a deep rabbit hole all the way to self custody and hard wallets in one meeting I organised. It was very fast eye opening. I realised that I was talking too much previously. Demo goes much further as they work it out themselves

Helps to demonstrate that. I’ve been getting people to download a wallet and I send them a sat. When asked what it means, I simply explain I did the impossible, I sent less than a cent of value is usd and can do that around the world. Bitcoin makes the impossible possible. Seems to spark curiosity and improve understanding. Small steps!

I love these discussions when they come up. I used to work on rigs in the north sea. What a mess. Both at the same time. If you haven’t seen it and are curious, look up Guatemala making elections more transparent and verifiable on the blockchain. No reason USA can’t simply do something like that. If there are questions on integrity, the lack thereof is possibly by design in any system.
