When Do Bitcoin Node Operators Upgrade?
"Before July 2018 it generally took 1 year for 95% of node operators to update their software. But after 2018 it doubled to 2 years. And it's entirely possible that we're now in an era of it taking 3 years for 95% of node operators to update!"

amboss has 'we'll sell your data' vibes. as tony g points out. are there more private alternatives?
so its boomers trading amongst themselves?
stop posting dumb apple vision shit on my timeline. its gross.
i'm here for freedom not that dystopia
no information rights as an investor is bullshit and a massive red flag imho π©
why? people use short phrases (slogans) to quickly and easily convey really important messages. ones that are good and need to be remembered and internalised by a group
we've been doing it forever, 'not your keys. not your coins', 'don't trust. verify'
I like this slogan. it reminds me that current mainstream technology which is closed source spyware and not ever going to get better, only darker and more dystopian, has alternatives
primal default
elections aren't going to solve anything. it just feeds the beast. opt out. build strong local alternatives. be free of their bullshit
first swan do this after switching back end providers, then they announce they're mining right before this mining survey.. lol what shit timing for them but great lessons in why their business model is garbage
is there a threshold age where we stop being adventurous? like adventurous with food for example?
took my parents to dinner last night and my mum ordered a soft-shelled crab salad. the crab was lightly battered and deep fried. the idea was to just eat the large pieces it was cut into with the papaya salad it was with, shell and all. it was so delicious!
but it freaked my mum out and she was trying to tease out the flesh like how crabay be served when its boiked/smoked.
im pretty sure mum went home hungry.. she was too polite to say so
sounds kinda similar to primal with its indexer over relay approach π€
