I offer the fiat plantation house slaves I often still work for (Bitcoiners tend to be too DIY and too frugal to pay for construction upgrades) a 10% discount of my stated rate for paper fiat at the time of service. Almost ALL of them take me up on this, IF I provide sufficient forward notice.
I also offer another 10% for payments made in LN sats, a 20% "banking inconvenience fee".
The fact is, 90% of the wealth in the world is still in the hands of ignorant, fiat-games winners now in near retirement/dementia/Alzheimer's age ranges. Many "old dogs" can't learn "new tricks", they simply don't have the mental bandwidth. I'm still dealing with clients writing paper checks, as well as not-so-useful idiots using payment rails like Venmo/Zelle/etc.
The ONLY way to be able to demand ONLY sats is to be so useful and have stacked so many sats already that you're able to wait for and find those who value your market offerings more than their sats. For many Bitcoiners, this means we must be Very Thirsty for a solution, or we'll keep our sats to ourselves.
More of us need to learn to value high quality art though. Becoming direct patrons of the Artists and the Arts we personally love, showing it with the apex form of Love Language: satoshis!
