Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should.
When was an outcome better when one or more parties to a disagreement were hostile and aggressive?
It’s ok the have different view points but everyone can be better of if they have to defend their point of view from a well reasoned argument against it. Petty name calling benefits no-one, least of all the person doing it since they present themselves as someone incapable of making a counter argument and have to result to personal insults.
I honestly don’t care what you think of me. I’m never going to meet you. You have no impact on my life whatsoever. BUT if we can engage in good faith discussions about our conflicting points of view we could both be better off. Once you resort to aggression, insults, and personal attacks no one benefits.
So by that logic either god made them up or the devil made them up. Ergo they were made up.
Presumably based on the arguments so far narcissist is a word from the devil? If that’s your stance it that would be very fitting because it would probably be an apt adjective for him.
Since we seem to be heading towards an etymology lesson maybe you would care to enlighten us about some other words from the devil so we can steer clear of them.

I don’t disagree that if he speeds up adoption that would be a good thing, but it is an if. And, since mass adoption is a when and not an if, are the side effects of Trump as president and everything that goes along with that worth increased adoption speed?
I don’t know the answer but I think it’s a valid question.
Lapse in judgement?
Or, I’ve done a good job of curating my experience to not include racists, bigots or trolls and with no underlying algorithm to push them into my feed I’ve been isolated from their comments.
#Nostr
Reading the comments on this post is the first time I’ve seen real vitriol on Nostr.
Will the angry twitter mob change the feel here or will #Nostr change them?

Who’s going to tell him all words are made up 👀

Excellent point. Well reasoned.
But FYI this isn’t twitter, name calling is not the way to make friends and influence people.

Narcissist
noun
a person who has an excessive interest in or admiration of themselves.
Based on this definition I don’t think calling Trump a narcissist is incorrect.
Using racial and sexual slurs to strengthen your argument doesn’t make you look good. It just presents you as angry and petty.
#bitcoin #nottwitter
Was there really any need for the name calling? This isn’t twitter.

Truth social users in the wild

I always assumed they grew on trees like other nuts. Never wondered why I had never seen them growing anywhere
Stupidity knows no bounds
I use buddy for kids. Don’t think i would use it to address another adult, feels a bit condescending.

1) humans are omnivores not carnivores. This is why we have incisors and molars.
Try eating a purely carnivore diet and see how that affects your health. A complete lack of fibre will quickly lead to constipation to highlight just one issue.
2) the statement that we’re eating less red meat than ever before is laughable. For most of human history meat was a luxury and difficult to procure let alone store.
Can you give any examples of countries that had a functioning democracy, instituted gun control and then ceased to have a functioning democracy because the state exercised its monopoly on gun violence?
I’m generally open to having my mind changed on things but having grown up and lived in several countries where guns are very rare I find it hard to get on board with the argument that guns are needed to keep a government in check. My lived experience just tells me that isn’t true.
