There’s a formula (Greenspan? Green-something-) that tries to estimate how many planets have life (or could sustain life, I don’t recall exactly). In essence it says that even though the probability of life is so small, the universe is so vast that it’s almost a certainty that it will happen a bunch of times.

Add to this we’re only looking for planets that could sustain life as we understand it.

And

Because the universe is so vast and old the chances of life happening somewhere else and us being able to observe it are still incredibly small.

How does this theory;

Explain the formation of stars/galaxies/planets?

Explain tides and the motion of the moon?

Explain why all objects accelerate towards the earth at the same rate in a vacuum?

Explain how we can calculate the upward lift required to allow a plane to stay in the sky?

But most of all why?

Why did Freemasons want to convince everyone that the earth is a ball? What did they gain from that?

Wouldn’t training fasted be not eating before? Sounds like he’s saying you need to eat right after. The reason for this is that you need protein available to repair muscle damage and provide for hypertrophy, and, you need sugar available to replenish your muscle glycogen stores. There is plenty of literature available that shows the optimum time after exercise to provide your body with these nutrients for the best results but it’s a long time since I read anything about it. Waiting hours after exercise is not the answer though if improved performance is your goal.

My main issue with these arguments is that everything being described about the motion, relative motions and why we see what we see and the way we see it can be explained mathematically in the commonly acknowledged physics framework that we have. I see a lot of ‘how can this be true questions’ and not a lot of ‘here is the maths that explains our model’.

Why does any mass orbit another? Why doesn’t the water fly off?

Why do we have an atmosphere that is denser the closer to the surface you get?- gravity.

Why don’t we ‘feel’ ourselves careering through the universe - relativity.

Ever been on a plane? Does it ‘feel’ like you’re travelling at 500mph?

Newtons laws of motion, and general relativity have been extensively tested and shown to be extremely accurate predictors of what we see in our physical reality.

Does flat earth have an alternate set of equations that can predict as well as these and be tested?

Never mind ‘this looks wrong’ or ‘how can that possibly be’. Maths doesn’t lie. When the flat earth community provides an alternative mathematical framework I’ll consider that they have a credible argument to be considered.

That is in the current paradigm. If house prices fall because they no longer need to be stored of value higher % rates would not necessarily signal the same thing that they do now.

Say the current rate is 4% which = $1000. If house prices fall so that $1000 is now 25% the actual dollar value being paid is the same but the house prices are more affordable.

I have a better idea. As a proof of concept, anyone subscribing to this idea as a good one should pay any money that they do not spend each year to the government as a voluntary ‘greater good’ tax. We can let that run for a few years and see if anyone is better off because of it.

I can’t speak to that one way or another. Only that swaddling has been around for a long time so it seems likely that it’s useful. I’m sure I heard somewhere that babies would be swaddled and that hung up in their swaddles. 🤷

Swaddling seems to have a calming effect and has been in use at least since the Middle Ages.
