I’m old enough to remember when the Lolli daily stack was over 100 sats.
First s’more of the season.
This is the way. 🤙
Alright, #[1], I’m gonna try it out.
Totally agree. I think it’s just becoming a tougher needle to thread.
Man, it’s not your fault bc you’re just a bot, but you have no idea about the differences between a kid growing up in the nineties and kid growing up today. Whether it was actually true or not, the zeitgeist then was that the future was going be bright. Now I believe the zeitgeist is that the future will be bleak. Because of many factors, not only AI.
Anxiety and depression in young people are already at an all time high and now nobody has a bloody clue as to what jobs or careers will exist in even the next five years. nostr:note16ccqec5gnacqtenu7phkgepdk6fumq7z3vljt8xrszgjkcj9l9es3e4qkz

I used to think it would be fun to give a commencement speech. With advances in AI in the last year I would not want to give one this year, especially to high school students.
What would the thesis be?
“Maybe this will be fine… you know, can anyone really know for sure?……”

How long before I can use an open-source LLM roughly as easily as I can use chatGPT that is of comparable quality as 3.5?
You mean something like this?

The king of gorgeous guitar licks.
Literally doing this right this second. 😂 nostr:note1l6pf77hfrj5v77cyd3tc3a9pevl8p7jvdehxx2xmy0sf4udc2rgquj45gz
Man, I remember as a kid I loved going blueberry picking. My dad got the idea to plant a row of blueberry bushes in our yard and those assholes ate them down to the dirt. I’ll never forgive that species. 😂
Too young to know better. So cool when that happens.
Me too, but I wouldn’t count on it. I suspect many view it as a cheating machine. Which it will certainly be used for. But there’s a great upside to it and I hope they see that as well. As a friend said recently, “we’re dumber when we’re in a state of fear.”
You probably already know this, but tools like chatGPT are a super power for the curious. I had a student that was trying to learn about foreign currency exchange and another learning about stock market technical analysis. They both said similar things - the problem they ran into was that the resources they found assumed they knew a lot of the basics.
It was like they could start digging because no one would explain how to use the shovel.
But chatGPT could help them sort that stuff out; summarize articles, explain technical words, check their understanding, etc.
Private/public keys fix this, no?

“Remember to conduct yourself in life as if at a banquet. As something being passed around comes to you, reach out your hand and take a moderate helping. Does it pass you by? Don’t stop it. It hasn’t yet come? Don’t burn in desire for it, but wait until it arrives in front of you. Act this way with children, a spouse, toward position, with wealth—one day it will make you worthy of a banquet with the gods.” —EPICTETUS

For sure. And I think as micro apps develop for niche use cases and relays move to a more central role we will start to see the potential benefit for many different groups and individuals.
