Got an idea for getting around part of the “publicly private” nostr DM issue
Maybe stupid question: in #damus, what’s `Broadcast` do exactly?
Happy Saturday #nostriches!

Thank you!
No it doesn’t, and that’s a bit by design. It’s not a plain text note. The main feature I’m building is unit and portion conversion, and plaintext won’t allow for that in an easy way.
Yep!

It’s my first real project though; I’m a bit nervous to share the code
I definitely see the feature as client-side. It’s probably not a good idea to be straining relays with metadata.
Cookstr is slowly improving
- Fixed some navigation/css issues
- Added social icons
- Added likes
- Added bookmarks
- Added opportunity to generate a new key on login
- made the site PWA for better mobile use
There’s still a lot to do but that’s where it is for now. Any feedback would be much appreciated!

what do you mean exactly by other platforms?
Hey hey! Work took a lot of my time this week, but i have likes amd bookmarks set. Ill be deploying them later today.
Zaps and nip-07 support arenplanned for next week.
Pictures the week after that.
Even if theyre married to a citizen. Been waiting 14 months to get my wife’s docs all accepted 🤯
The first cd I remember buting for myself was the Spice Girls 🙈
Not going to lie. I just realized I’ve been reading it wrong
But check out https://habla.news/ for example. I think it’ll highlight one of the most powerful things here.
Damus (and other clients) are using the nostr protocol for twitter-like functions, but habla uses it for articles. And there’s other clients too (imagine something like instagram).
Across all these services you can use the same key, the same account. And all the data exists simultaneously across all the relays you publish to.
Coffee time #nostriches!
