I want to go backwards. No cameras / no mics. This multi year battle with electrical tape over lenses is getting old.
Remember most things that others ‘do’ to us aren’t about us. Often they’re just projecting rejection, fear, or anger — usually from childhood or trauma. We can’t ‘fix’ anything for anyone.
All we can do is cleanup our own side of the street & move with grace. Maybe our actions will inspire others to free themselves. Maybe not 🕊️🪞🤍

Paradoxically, many single family scenarios have brought grandchildren into the lives of children in a massive way (but oftentimes it’s almost or is replacing parents). Those kids sometimes turn out to be the most incredible humans. Interesting plot twist.
There is no left or right. There’s a rusty machine leaking fluid and needing constant maintenance. And there’s a growing number operating outside of that machine in bliss.

We have evolved to live in multigenerational communities. As have elephants. Most other species have no role post menopause, but the role of elder is crucial to development. Connecting the ages is of great importance and so simple it is often overlooked. When we were more agrarian (less than 100 years ago), grandparents helped raise the children.
The separation of grandparents and children has taken the macro perspective, patience, and support from children as well optimism, new skills, and purpose from elders. Single family homes and retirement communities are FIAT profiteering scams that have damaged families. Multigenerational communities (bio or chosen) are the path forward.
