When I was very young I was pretty nihlistic and got reeeeely into Peak Oil & in the end I learned:

Societal inertia + human innovation will stave off the apocalypse far longer than any of us deserve.

When I found Bitcoin, it felt like that grudgingly optimistic take had been made manifest.

It is best to be prepared, don't get me wrong!

But I think we are probably going to make it in the long run.

For the opportunity to expose my family to this crew, I will carry all the luggage (not that y'all need it). I will absolutely rip my kids out of school and pack up my family for a vacation soaking in Buddist/ Hindu/ Bitcoin culture in a hot New York minute.
