Wall Street Bitcoin ETFs might pump the price in the short run, but I think long term they are unhealthy for the BTC ecosystem. They’ll inevitably rug investors one way or another, maybe an ESG/censored proof of stake fork, dox investors, or paper Bitcoin that’s traded behind the scenes like Genesis/BlockFI/3AC/etc.
Don’t support them just because you think you’ll make a little money in the short run. Lengthen your investment horizon. #bitcoin #plebchain
Best of luck! I’d say datacamp’s grades are: A on price, A on breadth of content for general coding and data science, and B/B- on quality of content(minor typos and obsolete functions are fairly common).
I’ve tried a few courses and had mixed results. If the course is published by a top tier university as a clone of their on campus class it’s highly likely to be very good. Everything else is a crapshoot. While Datacamp isn’t amazing I’m currently using that since it’s about $150 for a whole year on sale, has tons of different courses, and is at least pretty good.
Best of luck!!
Linux finally hit 3% market share of desktop computers. Free and open source software is growing and worth supporting!! #linux #foss https://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share/desktop/worldwide/
Sticky core CPI inflation is still growing at >5.6% year over year in June. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/CORESTICKM159SFRBATL/
While I find this to be a flawed metric, I hate that it’s used when it looks good, and then ignored when it looks bad.
The best thing you can do for America in your daily life is to be kind and have friends of different views and political parties. Someone is not evil because they disagree with you. They’re another American with their own rights and opinions just like you. It’s their country and democracy too. Debate don’t demonize.
No. Not dismissing him, but not convinced based on his statements alone.
iPhone user question: If Damus disappears from the App Store, are you just using a browser based nostr client or switching to android?
Probably 6-7 years ago, the customer service at my local one was the worst of any place I’ve ever been. I had to cancel. It was just so irritating.
Online ordering ftw!!
Unpopular opinion: Bitcoin “winning” is not a forgone conclusion. It could fail.
Good news: you can help make it win by supporting Bitcoin companies and merchants who accept Bitcoin. I always use Bitcoin if it’s a payment option, and have switched to exclusively using Bitcoin only companies. I don’t want to even indirectly support shitcoin scams.
I wanted to say thanks to nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx for having me on Citadel Dispatch. There’s plenty of other nostr:npub1theparkprcs70dcs437ke9zzwsr6u60f8flu7rg28m30438aep9sd94dha members that deserved a spot.
Extremely humbled - and very nervous 😅

Great episode!!
Lol, but for real when I see that command with in real life my heart rate triples
Lol, if you take a ride on a plane you can literally see first hand that earth is round. I almost have to assume it’s trolling.
Short term focused ESG YOLO investors who don’t know that the cost of broadband and compute decreases over time.

Appreciate the great info
My read of the Swan website is BitGo does the Bitcoin custody and fortress does the fiat custody. Hence why they are using two custodians. Open to correction if that’s in error.
Oversimplified Summary: A US court agrees BitGo could not provide audited financial statements for 2021. They’re also buying Prime Trust which appears to have spectacularly failed for reasons no one will publicly admit.
Question: Why should I trust them or businesses that use them as a custodian? This makes me extremely hesitant to use them until a clear explanation is public. #[0] #[1] #[2] Care to comment?
This seems to reinforce the River, Cash App, and Strike model of insourcing the custodial piece. Maybe that’s a potential conflict of interest, but I’ll take a conflict over the “money gone” that just almost happened at Prime Trust and BitGo not being able to put together an audited financial statement with $1B on the line.
Frankly it’s frustrating that certain people seem to know the story, but won’t share. This is info people need to make intelligent decisions in the Bitcoin space. #bitcoin #plebchain
Before saying the government needs to be in control of something: imagine Biden, Trump, or whatever politician you hate the most will have that power. Still think the government should be in charge now?
Patiently consider that at some point someone as bad or worse than them will wield that power.
