It is an epic pain in the arse to set up as someone non-technical, but nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 + phoenixd+satdress for nwc wallet linking absolutely crushes primal for ‘how it feels when it works’.
Totally agree. Bitcoin has major UX/design issues. Or maybe the target audience is just completely misaligned (ie the nerds are still telling the normies their apps are for them).

It seems to me that the ideal for *many* enthusiasts and self hosters is indeed phoenixd+pwallet (removes masses of overhead and saves hdd space). If you also have a cloud server/VPS & wireguard, adding satdress then gets you what the Phoenix app can’t: always on zaps/lnurl. More people need to know about this!

I actually wound up chatgpt’ing a docker-compose that combines phoenixd and pwallet. Very happy. I think I will look into contributing to the UI of pwallet (logo, colour scheme, font).

I think this is very cool. I looked into creating a docker compose file that combines phoenixd, pWallet and phoenixd-lnurl, but it was a bit beyond me. Such a package for MyNode, Umbrel and StartOS would be amazing.

Is it safe to DM on Nostr yet?
Yes. I’m looking for a front-end client displaying only my events (and perhaps even only the kind I choose to display) that can be hosted on mydomain.com. So it would be like the modern version of a blog/wordpress/tumblr/whatever plus the ability to zap me.
