I can only emphasize how important it is that Primal can be run on an ungoogled Android phone with custom ROM, because that's what "freedom" is all about¹. At least one Primal dev should have an ungoogled Android phone with custom ROM at hands to be able to test if the app is still working there. Same problem here with a googled phone, no matter if Primal's installed inside the play store or by apk.
The collective won't do anything, because only individuals act. But I know what you mean. In the Fiat-World bad individuals do bad things in the name of the collective's good. Here, because there's no counterfeit money printer, this strategy is doomed. Each and every individual nostrich will decide what he wants and what he doesn't.
