i tested some iOs apps today to see how they play with nip 42 auth relays. damus didnt work very well, i couldnt figure out how to get rid of the cached feed from before just having the nip42 relay in the client. not all of the notes seemed to show up either.

Nostur seemed to work quite well and right away. i like that i could make a feed specific to the relay. all notes appeared too once i turned on auth in the relay settings. would be really powerful if say a feed i have setup with one relay, there was a way to change which relays you post to depending on what feed you are using. then a user could dynamically talk in a nip42 private relay, then bop over to a more public feed and post to public relays.

0xChat seemed to work the easiest in terms of onboarding. all notes showed up. although i do wish there was a way to filter for all notes, global or from contacts, that are specific to your relays. if this were added to 0xChat, it would be the hands down king for onboarding friends or family to a small private relay, as it looks good, has built in zap wallet, strong privacy defaults, and is available on both android and iOs..

i saw the new alien movie. i liked it, enjoyed the return to the original aesthetic. did feel a bit campy at times and had perhaps too many easter eggs/call backs to the other movies. added nothing original but suppose thats impossible at this point fir the alien franchise.

if you dont do it live i think any client would be fine as long as you had like a nostr.build pro account to allow the large file uploads.

yes! i run core lightning node on my start9, and just a matter of following the well written instructions on Ocean's website for how to configure.

i havent tried it yet, but may also be possible to use phoenix wallet as they have bolt12 as well and that may be preferred over running your own lightning node.

its good, i really want to start a ditto instance ( its still pretty technically difficult i failed). if someone were to make a ditto instance service i could pay to literally choose my domain name, choose my relay name, then its setup and hosted by them and i have admin over it...would be huge i think. think like relay.tools but an entire ditto instance
