this is the problem with built-in primal wallet, you get stuck in its ecosystem. Yakihonne has a built-in wallet too, but they provide you the NWC string so that, if you wanted, you can use amethyst or nostrudel, copy in your NWC string from your yakihonne wallet, and you can zap in the other clients no problem.
This is the difference between handcuffing users (primal) and actually creating interoperability (yakihonne), which is nostr's superpower.
use yakihonne and dump the others, imo
I watched a walkthrough of the last of us after watching the first season of the show. I was amazed how much of the show was either direct lines, entire scenes and choreography ripped straight from the game. Both are amazing works, excited to watch the second season of the show.
ya that is real cringey. But I mean talking about football players like they are prized bulls is about as American as it gets
cuz it's built by a team of South East Asia developers*
prolly cuz its not based by a team of South East Asia developers, so I don't think there is much english speaking influencers using it / funding it.
Yakihonne is amazing
fuck it! 😄

yes! laws that free btc to be used peer to peer is what i want to see and what we should all want to see. The strategic reserve hype confuses me (outside of the obvious NGU reasoning). Ironically, I think any peer to peer liberalization would have a far greater impact on NGU than a State simply buying some to put in their Treasury or whatever.
all roads lead to steak
cool. i dont know how good i feel about State's buying assets in general ( think im pretty against it...should just provide services they can afford), but i guess from a pragmatic standpoint it will be good for the States to try and hedge against Federal gov't currency devaluation.
today marks my official 2 years on #nostr
here are my 2 year stats
i started my npub completely ignorant to bitcoin. i just turned 22 years old, i had zero care for self sovereignty. bitcoin was at 22k on the day i joined.
originally i joined to see if this was an avenue for people in iran to be able to freely express themselves without fear of persecution from the regime. today, we have numerous of beautiful iranians here proving their freedom, despite the threat.
through the community i was taught bitcoin. regular people, just like me, took time to teach me about self sovereignty, not because they were getting anything out of it, but because they genuinely believe in its value to the world.
seeing the enthusiasm of these kind people made me enthusiastic. that first week, i decided to buy my first bitcoin on nostr:npub1cashappn03s3cl2ljsdntv0v28e2um5lgx4vjctqjt23pcwzjhsqmtdg5l.
Now, my life has changed for the better because of it. Because of nostr, because of the PEOPLE of nostr.
thank you to everyone on here who has showed me the kindness i never felt or seen on the internet , despite being raised online. there are far too many people to count.
thank you nostr, i got to grow up here.
awesome to see and hear!
lol, when I search for this, all i get is other years the legislature used 'SB 1025' for a session. it's crazy to me that they recycle the numbers every session!
So is this a bill for the State to buy bitcoin ?

Hey I tried to set up DATUM via my Start9 to mine solo, but when I follow the instructions it is still mining to Ocean pool. I think y'all need to update your instructions.
Block # 881808, mined by nostr:npub1qtvl2em0llpnnllffhat8zltugwwz97x79gfmxfz4qk52n6zpk3qq87dze, was mined by a miner that has only been mining withe Ocean since November 2024, and has averaged about 600 Th/s. That's pretty cool, too bad they weren't using DATUM and didn't personalize the pool identifier.

wow, that's impressive and cool
⛏️ As January came to an end, Bitcoin’s mining difficulty saw a moderate decline of 2.12%.
📉 The start of 2025 also saw limited gains for mining companies.
🦾 Coming soon: mining competition should take a breather and farms will diversify earnings with a Bitcoin + AI model—which means some hashrate just won’t be coming online. 👇

i hope there is a pause to the relentless rise of hashrate. This crowds out mid & small-sized miners that cant raise cheap capital to throw in the fire like the big companies.
Jsonbits is asking on nostr:npub1jfujw6llhq7wuvu5detycdsq5v5yqf56sgrdq8wlgrryx2a2p09svwm0gx What do you think is the biggest thing holding back mainstream merchant adoption?

I think there needs to be demand from paying bitcoiners first. And bitcoiners need to go full in bitcoin even before that. Otherwise they tend to fall in Gresham's law fallacy
ya, agreed 🤙
thats insane. what about lost coins? Stolen coins? how does one prove they dont have access? what if you bought some btc you bought when it was worth far less, now its worth millions and have done literally nothing with it. you pay a tax on that in perpetuity?
