#Bitcoin node is up and fully synced!
My morning. I get up when most nostritches either go to bed or are Chinese. π€·
Nothing against Chinese, I'm just having trouble understanding what they're talking about.
After following a bunch of new people from engagements by the people I follow and who follow me, I find the latest post from my followers was 56 minutes ago
I'm thinking I'm not doing enough on #nostr, so I go to global.
Global: Here's a Hentai bot, a porn profile, a bunch of posts in Chinese, BTC tickers, gaming streams, and... the maker of wallets made from squirrel fur in the shape of an actual squirrel... π²
Yes, I dry brine them for up to 72 hours. It makes them tender and juicy.
And incidentally, the more Bitcoiners there are, the more your Bitcoin is worth.
The awakening - the way I see it - is when you're filled with dread about the prospect of dying knowing that you've achieved nothing you consider meaningful. If it's not powerful enough to move you to search for what is meaningful to you, it's not awakening.
My #Bitcoin node now syncing mid-July. 1 block every ~2-4 seconds.
Not my first node, but I still think it's wild how much slower things get with these larger blocks.
"In ancient Rome, the plebeians or plebs were the general body of free Roman citizens who were not patricians, as determined by the census, or in other words 'commoners'." - Wikipedia
"Could nowadays be used similarly disrespectful to describe someone who doesn't 'get' good art, food, music or anything culturally relevant to you, as well as uneducated rude people in general." - Urban Dictionary
"The kind of ordinary people like us who set up TBM, trying to get by in life with some form of income from a day job, making ends meet and sharing thoughts about the world with their mates over a beer.
A Bitcoin pleb is exactly the same but they talk about Bitcoin instead whether itβs in between stacking shelves, 'working from home' or tweeting about anything related to Bitcoin to keep their minds from going numb." - The Bitcoin Manual
"In Bitcoin-speak, 'pleb' is a self-proclaimed term for an ordinary person contributing to the Bitcoin network (ie. 'stacking sats', 'HODLing', running a node, educating, etc.)" - Wotterdog
"Nostr Plebs is a NIP-05 ID and Nostr services provider built by Bitcoiners for Bitcoiners. Nostr Plebs instantly groups your profile among other users, allowing new Nostr users to easily find you and make you identifiable." - lightning network+
I'm sure this only scratches the surface.
Going to turn in, GN #nostr
Hmph, Spirit of Satoshi is quite vague on this question...

Sync is now going quite slow. Where it was up to 10 blocks per second before, now it's doing 1 or 2 blocks per second. Not much left, though - syncing January 2024! #Bitcoin
Now syncing January 2023.
#Bitcoin
I'm in the process of getting my own by hosting it myself.
A full BTC node is currently syncing with Bitcoin Core, and then I'll set up my wallet with lnd.
I also have one on NiceHash, got it there when I started out with nostr since I already had an account there for mining.
I recommend going into long-term ketosis through a keto or carnivore diet.
There's no need to burden your liver with the garbage if you can eat food that's close to 100% absorbed into your body.

Why does #nostr not handle user's keys differently?
What would be the drawback of a system such as this:
Relays store nsecs in encrypted form.
Users/clients log on with just a username and a relay returns that user's encrypted nsec.
User/client then decrypts the nsec in whichever way it was encrypted.
The rest happens as usual.
Users could opt to either give their nsecs to the clients they use to connect to the network themselves, or to have the client obtain the nsec from relay(s) and decrypt them with a password/certificate/whatever.
Pretty much...
