CRAZY BDS CULT TURNS ON HAMAS HOSTAGE

"Imagine your child being kidnapped by Hamas, and then having to be escorted out of an event by police because Hamas supporters are trying to attack you."

Pvt Jessica Lynch was raped, sodomised and tortured after her capture by the Iraqi army. CNN verified the story.

She was rescued when commandos stormed the hospital she was held in. CNN verified that too.

Until she regained consciousness and told everyone it wasn't true, that she was injured in a multi-vehicle pileup in her lost convoy, and the Iraqi soldiers took her to the hospital where they treated her kindly, like any other patient.

The hate that young woman endured for her naive honesty and courage was beyond imagining.

I can only hope the Israeli hostages rise to the occasion as well as that young American servicewoman did.

Mine was part of a batch with Qualcomm modems that had actually failed QA. The modem used to freeze randomly. Various devs (not Pinephone staff) came up with a series of increasingly effective workarounds.

But the thermal issues are the real killer. Pinephone need to stop using laptop-spec chips in a mobile phone form factor.

Pinephone does hilarious things to shave a few cents per unit, and the rusted-on fans gaslight complainers by asking if we really want an open hardware phone or not?

I do, but it needs to do what the advertising says it does...

It is Communism, but not the Communism you have right now.

Right now you have huge numbers of blue-haired, rainbow-flagged public service bureaucrats using taxpayer's "generosity" to exert unaccountable power over the poor, the elderly, veterans and the mentally ill. And inculcate dependency, helplessness and entitlement.

You also have other parasites to make sure the correct boxes are ticked, and yet more to put private sector butt-armour between each bureaucrat and other people's consequences.

This creates a vast vote bank of horrible people voting for horrible people out of fear that they might lose the ability to be horrible on a middle-class wage.

You also have an even larger bloc of learned-helplessness poor people mostly voting for horrible out of fear of becoming homeless.

UBI is a quick and politically-tactical way to turn the poor against the bureaucrats, and hopefully get the bureaucrats reassigned or dumped back into the private sector to survive on their skills.

If I am being honest, what bothers me most about the Nazi era of Germany is not the idea that a failed, homeless artist with a meth addiction would become a tyrannical, murderous dictator, but that the Nazis are represented as a fringe movement supported by fringe people.

This is an absolute lie.

And it is intentional.

Because the truth is even more disturbing. If we face the reality that the Nazi Party was main stream popular culture in Germany (and even in much of the west at the time), we have to face some very disturbing things about ourselves. If we cant blame it on a "fringe leader" with a "fringe group", then we have to ask ourselves, "could I become a Nazi if the conditions were right?"

So let me spoil it for you...

The answer is yes.

Statistically, chances are, you would have been one of the people out there waving a little Nazi flag yourself. And telling yourself, "just dont get involved, its none of your business" when you saw the injustice starting to manifest.

Have you ever noticed most of the photos of Nazis focus on Hitler, and NOT the massive adoring crowds? Have you ever wondered why? Its because we want to forget. It terrifies us. And it should.

So here are some photos of what things really looked like. Of how easy it is to get swept up in the movement. Think about it. Think how much easier your life would have been if you just went along with the crowd. And how much harder it would be to stand against it.

And if you think this post in unnecessary and melodramatic, perhaps you are unaware of where we are.

One big difference between that time and ours:

Hitler didn't trust the German people would keep following him if they knew what he was up to. Hence the pathological secrecy of the Nazi regime. The number of free Germans who knew what Treblinka really was was never more than hundreds, hence the need to use the inmates for everything.

And whenever Hitler got caught by his people doing something he said he wasn't doing, like executing the disabled or removing crosses from Bavarian schools, he stopped abruptly and changed tack. He was nearly overthrown in '34 by angry crowds when he was slow about this.

Nazi-era Germans were braver and more moral than any Western population today.

Pro/Con of DeGoogled Phone operating systems

Graphene

Pro: Good optional sandbox for Google push. And advanced security features such as:

1) Hardened to resist memory attacks

2) Better sandboxing (access policies)

3) Enhanced verified boot

4) Attestation tool to diagnose Pegasus malware

5) Browser reducing “just in time” JavaScript

/

Con: Only Google manufactured hardware, which is the most likely to have hardware backdoors. Titan-M security chip is closed source and therefore untrusted to protect me from Google/Government

Calyx

Pro: Similar DeGoogled experience to Graphene, but supports a wide group of phone manufacturers outside the 5 eyes including Fairphone, OnePlus, Vivo, Xiaomi, ZTE, and Huawei. LOL, Do you trust Google or the Chinese? Calyx also has a great built in Firewall app to cut off apps from the internet

/

Con: While Calyx is better for avoiding Google’s unknown hardware backdoors, it doesn't have Graphene's advanced security against known targeted attacks. Additionally, if you need Google push notifications, then it uses MicroG instead of Graphene's sandbox, which isn't as good at isolating Google from the core system data.

Lineage

Pro: Works on an even larger variety of hardware, so you got a lot of choice. Lineage is also great for fake android virtual machines on your desktop PC. You can easily spin up a VM with this and use spyware apps. While as Graphene won't allow this under current builds, and Calyx requires "annoying to use" Android developer kits to do it.

/

Con: Can't lock the bootloader. Controversial security issues.

Pinephone (Linux phone)

Pro: It's good to see alternatives to Android. Hardware "brains" are open source.

/

Con: Low amount of apps because it's not using Android's ecosystem. Not as good performance as Android. Lacks Android's good security model, and it still uses closed source hardware to communicate: WiFi and LTE modem (they had to)

Purism's Librem 5

Scam. They won't ship it, don't buy it.

Summary,

Graphene - Extra Security, IF you trust Google's hardware

Calyx - Good for non-Google hardware & app firewall

Lineage - Great for VMs

Pinephone - Boycott Google

SimplifiedPrivacy has lowered custom consultations to $30/hour. Reach out and we'll help you with flashing phones, routers, Linux, any tech support.

Pinephone is complete garbage. The limited apps and borderline-unusably-buggy OS I could work around.

But the thermal engineering - man, a Pinephone can literally cook itself on a warm day.

And the aftermarket support and parts availability is exactly what you'd expect of a scammy Chinese startup.

From the end of WW2 until about 1970, the Soviet Union averaged over 10% annual GDP growth, with a savings rate about 50%. By 1970, it had leapfrogged Britain, West Germany and Japan to be the world's second strongest economy.

With good culture and good leadership, Communism can be a brutal success, economically.

Unfortunately, the stuff governments want done is rarely good for human happiness or flourishing.

This is true of every Statist system, not just Communism.

(Communism's failure modes absolutely suck, as evinced by the Brezhnev and Gorbachev eras. But I'm not sure how much better surveillance-centric crony capitalism is with Brezhnev-style fearful ineptitude spreading at the top)

Here in Australia its also $2... but for a litre, not a gallon. This is one case where I'd prefer American Customary Units over Metric!

I have two degrees, and I endorse this message.

Working for yourself has never been easier to get into, and customers care more about your reputation than your bits of paper.

"[...] it highlights the increasing problem of criminals filing fraudulent emergency data requests"

Criminals have always had that capability.

Actually, this highlights the increasing problem of corporations cyberstalking everybody, combined with an increasing cultural fetish for badge-licking.

And the USA is undoubtedly the "best of the West" in personal freedoms. We're so fscked...

Imagine roast beef was a spread, like peanut butter. Concentrated roast beef. Then add more salt.

Its made from yeast, like Marmite, and I enjoy the look of horror on the faces of British people when they try Vegemite. (It tastes nothing like Marmite.)

In fairness, I probably made the same face when I visited the UK and tried Marmite :-p

An unlikely threat, but certainly not impossible.

We rug them by moving all our business to the #monero blockchain.

When you're called up, you get issued whatever ancient broken crap was lying around at the back of the armoury.

Australia and the USA would be exactly the same if they suddenly mobilised their Reserves.
