Every time I make a lightning transaction, I say out loud, "fuck I love Bitcoin!".
Traditional banks can't make shit happen that smoothly. In fact, I'm anxious every time I make a transaction using my bank. Is this the transaction that's going to get blocked? Did by account get randomly emptied again? Are they doing some kind of maintenance and I just don't have access to my funds today?
It's funny, I've been contemplating a similar dilemma all morning. Most people I talk to in the USA don't care about Bitcoin because they're under the delusion that there's nothing wrong with the current monetary system. Or they pretend to care about some perceived flaw in Bitcoin, such as they can't physically touch one. Americans have been so indoctrinated for so long that they can no longer see the forest through the trees.

Me: ...
Me: Go look for the remote.

No one remembers this, but back in 2014 Taylor Swift took her music away from her fans. In 2014, she had her music taken down from Spotify because she wanted them to pay her more money.
Now I'm not one to criticize another for wanting more for their product. But what she does is hide behind the guise of "doing it for her fans". She didn't give a fuck about her fans 10 years ago and I'd bet my stack she doesn't give a fuck about them now.
In my eyes she has always been and will continue to be a whiney liar with a silver spoon and not someone I ever want my daughter to look up to.

It's abhorrent behavior and to see it being normalized is absolutely terrifying.
One of my coworkers stopped after 3 or 4. He's been riddled with side effects from them. Luckily not death. But he still takes some of these crazy drugs that are being pushed, one of the more recent is Ozempic and he's now experiencing bouts of blindness from it.
It breaks my heart to see people going through this just because wearing a lab coat tells them to do it.
