Seek and live (for) freedom, truth and love. Keep it joyful. 🙌🏼 ₿💻🎶 📚🏔️🌊👗🎾🎥 🎭🎨💃🏻🔭🌍🌖🍴🫖🖕🏼😬 {hacker @ 🩷} 📍🇺🇸 USA | 🇿🇦 South Africa | 🇵🇰 Pakistan

I'm always trying to learn German and Russian bc my niece and nephews are mixed. ☺️

Def worth a visit. Winter is tough though bc of the weather and how that affects road conditions. Spring and Summer are great for the northern region. Let me know if you decide to visit as I can put you in touch with lots of people.

#2 in this retrospective of favourite images from 2025. These are all Kyrgyzstan (do you get the feeling I liked it there?!)

1. Lenin Peak, Kyrgyzstan. One of the easiest 7000+m mountains to climb (apparently, I didn’t go up there) and often used a training ground for Everest.

2. Isla and her friend Matilda walking back to the truck after a morning of “homeschooling” that involved a hike up to a viewpoint, artwork in the wildness and clambering over rocks and boulders to learn about mountain safety. The rainbow mountains make a spectacular backdrop!

3. Jess and Otis. This was shot on our way up the Kumtor Gold Mine Route. Captured as a marketing image for Kovered Bags (use code “GLOBALTRACES” for 15% off their bags… which make awesome Christmas presents!)

4. Crossing a dried up high altitude lake to one of the best park up spots we’ve had … so great we visited twice and spent about 4 days there in total. The park up is unofficially titled “Desert Rock Dream” in iOverlander (an App we use to find parking places) and it really is an incredible out of the way dreamscape place to hang out.

5. The night before we crossed in to Tajikistan (the other side of those mountains in the background) we parked next to a dried river bed. Fortunately we didn’t park in the river bed, because not long after this was taken the meltwater from the mountains decided to flow through turning a dry river bed to a raging torrent! Before that though, Isla was in her element playing out in the wilds.

Which is your favourite from this set?

Yes, and any person who has committed any crimes. Unsavory characters galore.

the world is self-serving.

Wherever I go, I notice the same problem reverberating through people’s lives: money.

It’s a universal stressor. Most of the world is barely getting by, living just above or below the threshold of “enough.”

Money has become the central, persistent anxiety of modern life. The constant feeling of not having enough or needing more follows people everywhere. It’s the price we pay for existing in a system where survival depends not on access to resources, but on access to currency.

Money is the primary key that unlocks almost everything: safety, food, shelter, healthcare, freedom, experiences, and peace of mind. Its absence doesn’t just create inconvenience; it creates fear, hardship, and a quiet suffering that billions carry alone. We created this system and we have a responsibility to fix it.

We’ve reimagined the concept of money countless times, but what’s truly necessary is "reimagining society itself" so that basic human life doesn’t require a constant financial struggle or the need for money at all. A world where people can live decently without being crushed by the anxiety of scarcity isn’t idealistic; it’s essential. It may be the most important issue of our time.

I just wanna torture you all. I'm your punishment. ☠️🚫

New Country, New Haramis.

Keep fighting the good fight. 👊🏻

Sounds familiar and reminds me of this.

Surah Al-An‘am (6:165):

“And it is He who has made you successors on the earth and has raised some of you above others in ranks, that He may test you through what He has given you…”

We are successors (khulafa) on earth not absolute owners. Whatever rank, resources, or opportunities we have are not permanent possessions but "tests" and not really ours to begin with. One person may have wealth, another knowledge, another patience in hardship, another influence. None of these are proof of superiority in the ultimate sense but are trials tailored to each "soul".

When it comes to how we see “rank", well, in worldly terms, rank often means privilege, status, or authority. But in God’s scale, the highest ranks belong to those with taqwa/piety and ihsan/excellence in character and action.

Also, piety isn't just vertical, between you and God, but horizontal too, in how you relate to creation. When you are good to creation, you are honoring the Creator. In that sense, worship is not locked inside rituals; it permeates life.

We can simply do things for their own sake.

All the lonely boyz lookin' for Frankenstein and Salvation. You've come to the wrong place. 🧟‍♀️❌

I don't think you understand me here. It may not have failed bc it's inherently flawed but bc the system was curtailed, constrained, or distorted by real-world conditions. Sure, capitalism is closer to human nature.

If I see a crunchy leaf, I have to step on it. 🍂

Everyday mantra:

Keep. It. Simple. Stupid.

Women have it harder unless you get to stay at home full time. We have to be career-driven, family-focused, and look good while doing it all.

These are serious and specific conversations you need to have with your significant other.
