Inderdaad heb ik ook gemerkt dat staatscontrole loslaten nogal veel weerstand geeft. Ook het idee baas over eigen geld is nogal een moeilijke. Idd ik zal het meer uit hun oogpunt moeten bekijken om ze te helpen met bitcoin.

Vraag is hoe kan je iemand aan deze linker zijde orange pillen want deze feiten overtuigen ze blijkbaar niet.
They hope to gain some insider knowledge, when insiders pump and dump. But come to the realisation bitcoin is different and bitcoin maxis won´t take their shitcoin bags.
It had a good usecase, communicate without being censored. Probably in the future not anymore. For private communication it has failed indeed.
You are a very early adaptor of new application 👍 at this moment I view the podcast with fountain. Diversify client or apps to publish is a good thing so bans/censorship is not very effective + having a bigger audience.

You can do groceries at Spar central station. Renting a house with bitcoin is possible but it's not like all landlords accept it. I know some that do though.

Some people say that you survive on bitcoin only, in Arnhem. I want to know if it is easy or just possible. Like paying groceries or rent a house with lightning for example.
Arnhem is doing a good job in bitcoin adoption. If the things I hear about it are true. I must definitely visit the city!
At this moment I wouldn´t advise people to go all in bitcoin if they didn´t do the research and have full conviction. Have only bitcoin and no fiat when you are ready for it.
What assets do you need for the following situations?
Yea, I agree, people must use bitcoin for what ever they want and like. Some for long term use like a house and short term gratification. Others will see it just as assurance. Only the person with the bitcoin decide what is the right of using it. Bitcoin don´t care how you use it.

If no preventive actions from your side now, this regulation will be endorsed on 12/13 December 2024.
According to the draft regulation dated 28 May (Council document 9093/24), ChatControl deploys to do, for instance:
🔻 “upload moderation”, users of apps and services with chat functions are to be asked whether they accept the indiscriminate and error-prone scanning and possibly reporting of their privately shared images, photos and videos.
🔻Scan by “artificial intelligence” technology previously unknown images and videos;
🔻If a user refuses the scanning, they would be blocked from sending or receiving images, photos, videos and links (Article 10).
🔻End-to-end encrypted services such as Whatsapp or Signal would have to implement the automated searches “prior to transmission” of a message (so-called client-side scanning, Article 10a).
During the last discussion on 24 May, the Council Legal Service made it clear that indiscriminate chat control scanning of non-suspects is still envisioned and remains a violation of fundamental rights.

→ Great, but take a closer look at the reasoning: Some governments like #Germany e.g. only object to the scanning of encrypted communications, but are fine with the indiscriminate scanning of other private and public communication, with the end of anonymous communication by requiring age verification, or with introducing a minimum age for “risky” communication apps. Also critical governments need to do more, exert their influence in the Council of the EU and agree on a joint list of necessary fundamental changes to the proposal. Absent such revision they should ask the European Commission to withdraw the chat control proposal as it stands.

I am pretty sure client side scanning is already happening on most popular messaging apps like Whatsapp and fb messenger. The law chatcontrol would make it just easier to surveillance.
Yea it definitely progressed on the user experience part from both more content and the technological part. Now you can have a very good experience as non technical person if you use Amethyst or primal as client. Other clients are not good enough for most people but it is pretty normal in alpha version.
I am excited where we will go next 2-3 years forward!
Because most first users want just viewing before participating. Making an nsec first is little bump in the road. It is good when your bought in to nostr.
