It's time for Lightning⚡️ and it's time for BOLT12🔩

As of today, OCEAN miners can attach a BOLT12 offer to their #Bitcoin address and get paid out over Lightning!
BOLT12 offers allow us to request multiple invoices for any amount while only requiring the miner to set things up once.
Miners simply sign a message containing the offer using the private key associated with their Bitcoin address.
Using BOLT12 also allows us to prove to the world that a payment was made, the size of the payment, the node to which it was paid, and that it was paid by us.
This means we can continue to offer fully transparent and verifiable pooled mining while no longer being restricted by the base layer!
Using the Bitcoin stack to its fullest is how we eliminate the need for trust and bring sovereignty to mining.
Oh yes, so this is what you were waiting for - BOLT12, now it makes sense! Excellent work guys, keep it up!
Sure, but Samourai didn't offer copyright content, NOR did it facilitate the transmission of money, according to most "US authorities" - Just that one whose entire case hinges on Bitcoin being money WHILE at the same time attempting to not contradict all "authorities" that say it isn't.
That's the gist, but I don't think Samourai actually facilitated anything other than matching peers to allow fields in a ledger to be updated with different private keys for access.
Yes, it's all semantics, but that's exactly why this entire case should force all those "authorities" to come out and state what they actually consider Bitcoin to be - It'll either not matter, or we'll just win quicker.
Amber works great with local apps, I really want it to become my main signer/nostr access gateway. But I can't seem to use NIP-46 on websites, waiting to hear from nostr:nprofile1qyg8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnddakj7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsqgr40yrkmxhlpfx0mma8ugz97fyxclja30rrhlrtg5uhyvlph07tryw9lc6v whether they can replicate the issue.
Any luck, calle? For instance, coracle and nostrudel seem to support nip-46.

But wallets don't transmit any money.
They allow for the modification of a field on the ledger to alter the private key that has access to the Bitcoin.
And I see many clueless noobs nowadays very excited about running their "mobile LN node with Mutiny"... when in fact they are not far from using same old WoS...
Mutiny wallet default on mutinywallet.com domain.
That means:
- you own the LN node keys, yes
- you can manage your own LN channels, yes
- but you DO NOT own that domain.
If that domain goes busted (and can be any time), your funds CANNOT be accessed anymore.

I suggest to everybody that use Mutiny to review very seriously their setup and run their own Mutiny server.
I really do not understand why we do not see any Mutiny dev and many other influencers encouraging the users doing so!
Here you have the documentation:
https://stacker.news/items/453267
Or run it with Start9 (is already in their app store)
Alternative guide here:
This has always been my issue with Mutiny. Points of centralization quickly become Single Points of Failure in the fight between Bitcoin and Fiat. A Tor-only version would be a good first step to avoid complete and sudden shutdown.
It's possible we may be falling into the hands of governments out of mere fear.
Bitcoin doesn't move. There is no mixing of funds. At all.
Why must everythign be so 'american-focused'?
This is global.
It affects everyone.

Not an assumption that governments will behave. Rather, an impregnable determination to make it so it doesn't matter that they don't, and make it visibly beneficial for them to do so. Moving to a Bitcoin friendly jurisdiction is the plan, where that is will be up to each government.
Okay, this is a good one.
A #CallToArms.

Is there a reason why so many shitcoiners are in such fervent favor of #OP_CAT / #BIP-420 ? I understand it allows for conditioned spending etc, but does
this unlock things like more integration for swaps/rollups?

Good ol' The Agonist - Still listen to their older stuff.
If you're worried about security, LUKS will do more than any verified boot can do.

Very unfortunate. Would probably be best to use a remote signer on, say, a phone, to access mutiny/nostr features, than relying on being able to install and access an extension. Would also make using Mutiny/nostr features on non-PCs possible/safer.
What one has never bought BTC before, and is stacking sats via nostr? They'll have an anonymous wallet.
#okx recently became the highest #Bitcoin liquidity node in #LN, overtaking #ACINQ.
Many of its channels are with ACINQ. Losing ACINQ in the US will be a temporary set-back that I think everyone will feel, especially here on #nostr.. Wonder where they'll spin it back up.. 🤔
