It's FOSS. Anyone can leave, join, or fork at any moment just like Bitcoin. People can sell or buy and no one can stop them. They're choosing it. It's a free market get over it.
I've said nothing but facts, and showed you a list where you can use Monero. I've yet to see even one place from you besides some podunk country's Mcdonalds. (I'll hop on the next flight there)
I doubt you actually use Bitcoin, you probably just hodl.
I have to go all the way to a McDonalds in El Salvador to use McBitcoins in my McCustodial Chivo wallet.
You mean Chivo custodial wallet country? The one where they banned any other competing cryptos using the state? Free market!😂
Still waiting on those receipts.
What does hardforking have to do with privacy? What a non sequitur lmao
This is a dumb argument. Just because I can't personally trace you means no one else can? Anyone you recieve from potentially can. Your friendly neighborhood fed and sleuth probably can.
And 99% of everyone else that uses Bitcoin/LN can be traced because it has no strong privacy by default AND is overwhelmingly used custodially.
No, I'm asking where is your list. I hear this a lot but don't ever see receipts.
Their normal wallet is multicoin, but they also have a Bitcoin/Monero only wallet called StackDuo
Stack Wallet is a new wallet in the game but tops. Highly recommend. FOSS, Non custodial, and privacy leaning. Here's an interview with the creator Diego. Pretty well known in the Monero space.
My biggest issue with lightning, is that it's privacy is inferior to monero for anyone that needs privacy right now, and any offchain benefits assume no one is saving that data right now to break in the future. Strictly worse right now, and possibly the same risks in the future.
Juraj is great. But that article doesn't even come to your conclusion. Different use cases according to Juraj.
You really asking?

If the rate of adoption is less than or equal to the rate of consumer tech advancements + protocol efficiency gains (Monero tx size has been reduced by ~80% since inception) I don't see why it couldn't work.
I also don't expect the world to use crypto, much less only one crypto for everything.
Are you impying Monero was pre-mined? Or just speaking generally about crypto?
Monero is FOSS. Anyone is free to leave, join, or make their own network fork. All users currently on the latest fork are voluntarily using it because they value the upgrades, devs, and community of users. If not, they would sell and dip out. No one could stop them from doing that. Aren't you guys about free markets?
Imagine the real world worked like that. Everyone was forced to be compatible with old tech like CDs and could never progress. If you and a few others want to use CDs that is fine, but no one is obligated to be compatible with you for eternity at their own expense.
First line is no longer true. After years they barely opened the source code last week....
It's the difference between asking one person for permission or several people for permission.
You're still asking permission.
They're also both bad in different ways.

I don't think so. Aurora store is just a proxy for Google app store. Great alternative though if you need it.
What's a good VPN to use?
Mullvad
Why? Police tried to raid their offices and seize user data, but they were unable to do so. Why? Mullvad does not keep any user data.

With Ring Signatures the more time passes the greater your anon set becomes because your real outputs will be selected as decoys for other real transactions.
And like RINO said, *amounts* and *recievers* are still completely hidden. Only sender privacy is effected by this. The transaction graph is still hidden (connections between senders and recievers).
Monero made a great decision to have layers of privacy. If one layer is compromised the others are unaffected.
Crypto is free market money (black and gray markets) and will probably be its only use case ever. A white market crypto would just be fiat money. A crypto subject to government laws and regulations is no crypto at all.
