We used to say "She became a prostitute". Now everybody says "She was trafficked". By eliminating the active voice "she" is robbed of agency. If "she" was kidnapped and forced into prostitution, this is a better description, but that is obviously not always the case. Many women choose to do sex work for a variety of reasons. Women have agency. They make choices. To stop harm in the sexual services business it would be very helpful to find out why women make the choices they do.

Anyone who questions the taboo is thinking about the unthinkable. They are secretly wanting or planning to violate the taboo, and so must be ostracized too.
