I recently read this in a newsletters sent out by an overseas worker my family and I support.

When people ask why I’m so passionate about #Bitcoin, I always connect them with the idea that money (read: time + energy) is being stolen from The Church (read: from the Lord’s anointed) through inflation of the monetary base.

A company that guides churches in receiving tax deductible Bitcoin along with dollars and stock gifts (we already do this at our church) + educates churches on why to hold Bitcoin on their "balance sheets"/why it's good stewardship to own #Bitcoin as a #church (we don't do this yet).

I had a conversation recently with a 70+ year old friend about #bitcoin. He really wanted to know how secure Bitcoin was from being hacked.

I gave him the long-form, technical answer that went right over his head. But in hindsight I should have kept it short and said, “it’s highly improbable, but the idea is that the money you’re currently using (fiat) has already been hacked.”

When fiscal policy is held hostage by the fear of losing votes, governance begins to drift away from its intended purpose of serving the collective good. Instead, it becomes a transactional exchange where policymakers are more concerned with maintaining power than with enacting necessary reforms. The national budget is no longer seen as a tool for the prudent management of public resources - the stored life of the people - but as a means to buy allegiance. A voting-shop aimed at exchanging worthless cash for worthless votes.

We are people who will trade our birthright for a bowl of soup. Integrity is compromised for convenience, and democracy is eroded by a system that values power over progress.
