There technically are a few other clients, but only 1 or 2 of them (Flat and Skyline) look remotely mature, with the rest being very experimental. Even between those two, Flat is very very similar to Bluesky client in design, but with fewer features, so it doesn't add much other than giving another option.
Another little bookmarklet hack, this time for nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft 's Highlighter.com
Create a bookmark on your browser with this as the url:
javascript:window.location.href="https://highlighter.com/load?url="+location.href
Now if you click that bookmarklet on almost any site, it'll open it up in Highlighter.com for you to highlight to your hearts desire!
NIP-50 support would be a game changer!
and then theres Europe 😛

I think it’s a brilliant way to work around the use cases of ‘topic-based conversations’ - definitely a great way to find similar interest users and conversations - which boosts engagements naturally.
I also think this gives us a bigger picture of the many diff types of social media that can sit on Nostr - so excited on what lies ahead. Keep building y’all 💜
Glad you're enjoying it! :) It's like you said, I've found that when determining who to follow on a platform, my focus is on the topics that person posts about that I'm interested in.
Yeah the whole thing is super odd

Yeah I just ended up modifying the approach so that rather than only allowing users to add hashtags that are cached, they can follow any hashtag and it filters it like you described.
@79c2cae114ea28a981e7559b4fe7854a473521a8d22a66bbab9fa248eb820ff6 super cool! Is this aiming to serve the same niche that fo-relay does, or is it a bit different? https://github.com/phyro/fo-relay
nostr:npub1ftpy6thgy2354xypal6jd0m37wtsgsvcxljvzje5vskc9cg3a5usexrrtq It would be super handy if rsslay detected when a post belongs to the rss feed of a sub-reddit, and added a hashtag to the note that coincides with the sub-reddit.
For example, we would add #baking to the end of the text of this note, since it belongs to the rss feed of the /r/baking subreddit.

Some new updates/improvements out for Agora!
- You can now follow whatever topics you want, not just the ones that show up in the auto-suggestions
- Fixed font color weirdness that Chrome users were seeing
- Simplified the sign up flow when making a new account

Rebuilding the Iris user interface on Tailwind and modern build tools: https://new.iris.to/

Currently it's Iris only on the surface, no web of trust or other characteristic features yet.
The code is forked from https://nostribe.com — thanks to nostr:npub18c556t7n8xa3df2q82rwxejfglw5przds7sqvefylzjh8tjne28qld0we7 ! Much easier to work with than the old Iris codebase.
Also thanks to nostr:npub1xdtducdnjerex88gkg2qk2atsdlqsyxqaag4h05jmcpyspqt30wscmntxy for the nostr.band trending API and nostr:npub1dcl4zejwr8sg9h6jzl75fy4mj6g8gpdqkfczseca6lef0d5gvzxqvux5ey for https://rbr.bio/ API and relays.
If you'd like to help with the rewrite, you can submit pull requests here (no bug reports please 😆) : https://github.com/mmalmi/iris-nextjs . It's fun!
woaaah this is awesome! Love seeing the epic snappiness of nostr:npub18c556t7n8xa3df2q82rwxejfglw5przds7sqvefylzjh8tjne28qld0we7 's Nostribe for the Iris experience! Great work you two

Two scenarios I can think of:
1. The website would have to create a nostr account and you'd provide your npub for them to send you "mail" to.
2. If the website hasn't created a nostr account, maybe a bridge can be created that forwards any emails sent to an email address to a nostr inbox.
