I've been running an Umbrel server for a couple of weeks. So far so good. There's another mini PC coming tomorrow. After getting the Windows 10 Pro key off of it, Ubuntu 24.04 server is getting installed on it. That will be the server learning, play, and experimental server.
In-group preference is the natural human condition. There are important evolutionary reasons for it. Try not to judge them too harshly. You are after all a guest in their "home" and probably an uninvited guest in the eyes of many if not most.

That's much easier said than done. I'm having trouble figuring Lightning out. I've been looking up YT tutorials, but they're somewhat dated. I've got some sats sitting on the main-chain, but not quite sure how to fund a channel and connect a Lightning wallet to my Lightning node. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

#introductions GM! New to Nostr. So new in fact that while I have a relay installed on my Umbrel home server, my BTC node is still downloading. Then there's the Lightning node after that. Welp, I only have a 1 TB nvme drive on my Umbrel server. I'm going to see how far I get putting a BTC node and then (hopefully) a Lightning node.
I have my political differences with Dr. Chaffee, but he's definitely right about what's the proper human diet. The thing is the bazaar market model is analogous to the biological evolutionary model. He ought to be a btc and nostr supporter. I think he'll come to embrace it in time.
I can only speak about the curiosity of other Americans since my daily interactions really only includes other Americans. Probably only five to ten percent are sufficiently curious about matters beyond what is advantageous to continuing or increasing their comfort. Their comfort innervates their curiosity.
