Round 1 of A Christmas Story. 🎅🦵🎄

I knew I forgot something last night for dinner. I had made a horseradish sauce for the prime rib and completely forgot about it in the fridge. No wonder my sinuses are plugged up this morning.

I did without. I think that debate is cooks preference. It might help stay a little warmer if tented, but it's a big chunk of meat that's going to hold a temp for a while. If you have a good crust on the roast, the steam from tenting can make it soggy.

Make sure you have a good thermometer. Remember the internal temp is going to raise 5-10 degrees while you let it rest.

Meat sweats and a slight food coma. Time to relax and watch It's a Wonderful Life. Have to get to bed early for Santa.

Slightly overdone for my liking, but still delicious. Stalled around 129F and needed to get it done so bumped the oven to 375F. Internal temp was 133F when pulled out of the oven to rest. #foodstr #primeribstr

He doesn't know how to use the three seashells!

Men want one thing, and it's disgusting.

Christmas Eve has always been a weird half day for me. Nothing gets accomplished but still get paid for just fucking around.

Prime rib, mashes potatoes with french onion dip, sour cream, and cream cheese, corn with butter, sugar, and milk, homemade rolls.

GM and PV Plebs! Time to let this bad boy sit out a couple hours before going in the oven. #plebchain #coffeechain #foodstr

I feel like roasting is a must in the winter months. We do the prime rib in the oven. 350F for a hour and then turn it down to 140F and just let it go until internal temp hits.

No different than other equipment that gives an edge in other sports. You still have to be strong af. I can't just put on a squat suit and go squat 1000lbs. Plenty of raw federations to lift in as well.
