The Land Run Monument in Oklahoma City is super impressive. All the more so since it was inaugurated as recently as 2006. Fascinating piece of history, too: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_Rush_of_1889

Two guys, same situation, totally different reactions.
I kept bees for a few years and absolutely loved the experience. I can still close my eyes and smell the hive after opening it.
I kept it on my list of things to come back to when I don't have a full-time job and family to care for.
Until then, I'll settle for the flurry of mason bees we have in early spring from the bee houses we set out.
It's a form of lying. I was recently leading a discussion with teen's on truthfulness. This is one of the examples I gave because it clearly dominates most people's political speech. Folks think that's just how your supposed to view things.
I'll never forget having to put down my dog Maggie. It was a very sad moment having her in my arms while she slipped away. Dogs bring out the best in us, if we let them.

When teaching a group of teens about truthfulness in First Day School (Sunday School), I brought up the question of influencers. They already knew that much of influencer culture is deceptive. Maybe there's hope. At least, among people who care about the truth and honesty.
We tend to use only the rear view mirror. It seems inevitable that we'll respond after the fact, and and probably too late.
I've had to explain to many people that this is a great song. Once they moved past the headlines and listened for themselves, they realized they'd been lied to.
Over the holidays last year, I dropped non-essential computer and phone use, including social media, music, and movies (unless with family). This led me to walk, read, and write more. My thoughts felt so much clearer without the constant distractions.
The last bear market had far less development. Even then, it was more than the previous one. It's encouraging to see the space continue growing year after year. Appreciate all your hard work!
