GE, Nostr friends!
I'm suddenly juggling multiple deadlines (several upcoming concerts but also getting the frost-sensitive aspects of our straw house* in place before the cold weather comes), so I am barely on Nostr these days.
But! #31days: I'm fitting in bodyweight and kettlebell exercises every chance I get. I don't think it's quite adding up to the 20 min/day that I had planned, but I'm happy that I'm continuing (again, thanks to nostr:npub17nvfw7g53nxjghyd2zg552z06cke0jc0k69hj7ns7f9pw26j9kusap4u85! Because without the challenge I would likely have done the "I'll stop now and re-start when I have more time" thing that I am wont to do).
And I'm definitely getting in plenty of the lifting/walking/carrying work that was my goal for the other daily 40 minutes of the Sept challenge.
*I will get some house pics up as soon as I have a chance.
what?!! no - get it off of there
I haven't read through the replies, so I'm sure this is covered many times, but I see two separate questions:
purchasing btc on CB
keeping your btc on CB
Step one: get that btc off of Coinbase. Learn to self custody, maybe starting with smaller amounts, but start this process ASAP
Then, later, figure out if that's where you want to buy your btc going forward.
congratulations to you and your warrior wife ๐คฉ
Yes, it's been very cool! I've been meaning to get some pics on here. Will try to do that soon.

GM, Nostr friends!
It's a gorgeous day here!
We're pushing hard to get our straw-mud building ready for winter -walls and roof are up, and next are tiles, plastering (in and outside) and filling in the gables. Some of that will be tricky once we hit freezing temps but in the meantime we're enjoying the cooler nights and mornings.
Hope you all have a wonderful day.

#31days - checking in
Yesterday was lower body with kettlebells plus 100 swings
Today was upper body and abs but only 80 swings! Will get back to the full 100 tomorrow.
It's just very easy to start with them. Rabbits in particular take very little space and you can feed them for free or nearly for free if you have access to a bit of forage. You can scale up or down very quickly (31 day gestation, so with just a bit of planning you can quadruple your meat production in a matter of months). Also I think that rabbits are actually the best converters of leaves into meat of nearly any animal besides fish.
However - beef or lamb/mutton is SO much better than rabbit! You just need more land, decent pasture (or be ready to supplement with hay for a while), good fences, and a watering system. Some folks want to work up to that, and many have larger animals as well as the smaller ones.
They look great ๐คฉ
We're working on our pasture to be able to feed a small flock of sheep! #goals
In the meantime - ducks and rabbits plus beef from a nearby ranch
After several years now living in MAGA country, I have yet to see any of the clowns that are all over the news.
I'm no fan of Trump, but it's clear to me now that the primary reason his movement has gained so much traction is because the establishment is a disaster for most Americans.
The Snopes debunking of this claim is hilarious. Includes such tidbits as "several food safety authorities and regulatory agencies found the analysis to be flawed."
And of course we all know how independent and reliable the authorities are....
Your body can run beautifully on fat - it's a great fuel! - but it can take a while to get those fat-burning pathways fully engaged.
In some of the podcasts that are recommended on this thread, you'll see a lot of interviews with athletes that only eat meat.
#31 days
Monday and Tuesday - lots of work on the homestead, then my (new) usual - thanks to nostr:npub17nvfw7g53nxjghyd2zg552z06cke0jc0k69hj7ns7f9pw26j9kusap4u85 - of 20 minutes of kettlebell and bodyweight exercises. And 100 kettlebell swings thanks to nostr:npub1q6ya7kz84rfnw6yjmg5kyttuplwpauv43a9ug3cajztx4g0v48eqhtt3sh
I often have elaborate exercise plans that I don't follow through on, so for this month's challenge it's just been alternating upper and lower body each day.
I'm getting noticeably better at single-leg deadlifts. The balance used to be tough but now I can keep them pretty smooth. 35lb bell, as slowly as I can.
