Onboard be tiny & you have to manually adjust it's size also it's a floating window so I have to hide it compared to you know how touchscreen keyboards splits the screen & you can swipe top half.
I actually tried a few distros, Ubuntu, mint, lubuntu, manjaro, kdeplasma, they all seem nice but on a 2 in 1 detachable keyboard most of them just have onboard which is a horrendous alternative for the windows touchscreen keyboard. It's like the original w98 on display keyboard. I wish there was a distro that's light, fast, & has a touchscreen keyboard on par with window10's keyboard
Another night sitting up wondering what is going up? Thinking it's time to get learning & CLI is where I would like to start. I been thinking about how windows 11 is getting worse the recall feature scares me. It convinces me more we are all going to be forced to learn Linux then the software wars will begin. We will all end up using ms-dos, bash, & POSIX to be rebeling back.
I know so many people are advanced in it already & don't want to help a clueless peon but I wish I had a buddy who would show me cool things & teach me. Oh but it is a dream isn't it?

Also today I would like to show another chat app called Quiet.
Https://tryquiet.org - Quiet - Like SimpleX is about anonymity chatting. Using the tor network to p2p chat protocols this application was built with a slack/discord UI familiarity. This app is currently an alpha & is being developed by a few individuals. The website will explain the specifics to the protocol behind it, planned features, & roadmap currently there is a desktop & mobile app both android & ios.
I mention it because hey it's got that discord ui but it's an alpha many things are missing & no dark mode yet yuck but anonynity chatting woo woo. If you do decide to check it out I made a group there for the nostriges who love privacy!

All I can say is be careful where you put your nsec. All my post before jan 8th got deleted along with my chatroom & community I made on here. I have not been able to figure out why or how. The only thing I can say is I put my nsec into a few sites that connect to nostr. All my communities & chatrooms that was deleted I made on satellite.earth all my posts before jan 8th & after have come from the amethyst app.
There should be a brainstorm session on how to work on this issue because I lost over 6 months worth of pages that I wrote in posts, notes that I shared for causes & a note I made with a bunch of free channels for ppl to watch tv. Along with music videos from archive.org so i'm really upset because theres no way to recover all those notes that are gone!

Simplex compared to others is the best open source chat application for privacy. I only know of one other one that is like simplex but is currently in an alpha state & bareboned with it's development which is.
But yes simplex is the best speaking of that lets make a room there & chat it up.
Yeah thats a start of something I guess you could create a community on simplex or quiet. Attract like minded people then take it from there.

So much as for help from migrating. This seems to be a big problem with many linux users they claim linux so great yadayadayada I know it's got great capabilities. But when someone ask for help everyones like welp good luck.
I'm surprised because many laptops today are 2 in one touchscreen detachable keyboards. Where I am mostly everyones walking around with the 2 in one on their arm & only pull out the detachable keyboard if they know their gunna be sitting & doing a lot of writing. You would think with all the modernization distros would come preinstalled with something better then old fashion onboard.
I can only hope a future distro will come out that does not just copy & paste other distros features & mash em together under a different looking ui.
