Did you have a previous version installed? If so, you may need to unistall first.
I don't think so, but I've used both. NOS2X on Kiwi tends to spawn a bazillion windows and not give an indication you can close them the first time you open a site so it can be a bit confusing at first. Nostore is relatively easy to install. I found it confusing to find where to do the approvals.
On Android I'd really recommend fennec and alby, it's a lot better experience.
If you uninstall a version, yes. But it's better to use Amber.
Universal is good if you're not sure which to use yet (newby people like me when I made the tutorial) because it covers all the bases.
