People mining fiat ($) to buy money (btc)

Here’s one to blow your mind: Pinky is the genius and Brain is the insane one.

Brain tries the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

Pinky is the genius because he manages to foil Brain’s plan while making it look like it was unintentional.

Cool.

Does the aspect ratio seem off for the left and right pyramids? Maybe it’s just the light and shadows

Stealing a bit from Dmitry Orlov here but the most rational behavior may likely be to treat the old system like a train and allow it to slow down so you can step off without having to tuck and roll or risk severe injury.

The more the centralized systems slow down and/or become ever more apparent total failures, the more people can feel safe stepping off.

I believe this is what most people are “waiting for” in the subconscious sense.

The adoption rate will depend highly on the rate the old system decelerates.

It’s the freedom tech equivalent of mailing a registered letter to yourself and then leaving it unopened so the information can be proven to not have been forged/modified after the fact.

Socialists are well-intentioned. They think that sharing is so great (which it is), that they want force everyone to share (and get along as a result).

The problem is that once you force people, it’s not sharing but theft, so the result can never be everyone getting along because someone is always stealing from someone else.

Go north to the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. It’s great. They made the sinkhole event that occurred there into a very cool exhibit.

Seriously, Nashville has become a tourist trap for the most part. She and I tried a long weekend there awhile back and it was really awful in numerous ways until Sunday we headed back north and stopped at the vette museum which redeemed the entire weekend, we enjoyed it so much more than expected.

No shade intended toward Nashville or citizens/ fans thereof.

The Med is gorgeous. I’ve seen it from the eastern shore a few times.

The water was not as clean as that. Probably just because the flotsam, jetsam, etc tends to collect there because there is nowhere for it to go further east.

Yes but NIP-05 requires someone to have a registered domain so…

Plus even with zero DNS you have IP address allocation and registration being centrally controlled

When deleting the deletions is not an option…

Tombstone them

Just like freedom, freedom tech requires work and sacrifice. The early founders of freedom tech here are doing that for all of us because of a belief in the importance of it. Thanks to them all.

IMHO, the rest of us should be forming local cooperatives of BTC mining, custody, and probably power production for the mining. Smaller communities make for more resilient social and economic structures.
