Yes, it certainly has multiple applications. There are four things going on here:

1. Church Offices, such as Pastor, Elder, and Deacon, which must adhere to the system of doctrine the denomination believes the Bible teaches.

2. Church employees, which are not office holders, but who the church ought to be able to hire or not hire based upon how closely that church believes they ought to adhere to the system of doctrine.

3. Church membership, which is formally coming under the authority of a particular church, and the only requirement is a credible profession of faith.

4. Attendance at a particular church without membership, which ought not to be barred for anyone, regardless of what they believe. However, this does not necessarily apply to what they look like, or rather how they present themselves. If someone shows up in their birthday suit, they're getting turned away, sorry.

I have found this quote to be most useful from A.A. Hodge:

"In all churches a distinction is made between the terms upon which private members are admitted to membership, and the terms upon which office-bearers are admitted to their sacred trusts of teaching and ruling. A Church has no right to make anything a condition of membership which Christ has not made a condition of salvation. The Church is Christ’s fold. The sacraments are seals of his covenant. All have a right to claim admittance who make a credible profession of the true religion--that is, who are presumptively the people of Christ. This credible profession of course involves a competent knowledge of the fundamental doctrine of Christianity--a declaration of personal faith in Christ and consecration to his service, and a temper of mind and habit consistent therewith. On the other hand, no man can be inducted into any office in any Church who does not profess to believe in the truth and wisdom of the constitution and laws which it will be his duty to conserve and administer. Otherwise all harmony of sentiment and all efficient co-operation in action would be impossible."

Honestly, this is one of the reasons I never got a tattoo. Never had anything that I thought I would never one day think, "Why did I ever think it was a good idea to pay that much money to permanently put it on my body?"

Always expected I would have buyer's remorse.

Anyone using LNBits know what it means when I get the error "VoidWallet cannot create invoices" on a wallet I created?

Cool. Makes sense. Not as convenient as NWC with a custodian like Alby, but way quicker than Zeus accessing my node through Tor.

Interesting. Here's what I did:

Opened mutiny. Opened Amethyst. Zapped you and got this:

It seemed to hang there and not complete.

Then went back to Mutiny and zap said it was pending. Went back to Amethyst and it finally showed the zap had processed.

Trying out NWC on nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg for one-tap-zaps, but even after giving it a daily budget, it still requires me to go into the app to approve the requests.

Anyone else have this issue and find a fix?

GM Nostriches.

Take steps to make your setup more sovereign today than it was yesterday.

As an Alby user for all things Nostr, I would never turn down Alby swag!

Lesson of the day: Privacy tools must be beyond the ability of any government to shut down.

For anyone not aware Bouquet is an app to manage blobs on multiple #blossom servers. its hosted here https://bouquet.slidestr.net/

Very interesting. I only see one server option, though. Is there a way to add other servers besides the default?

Never had a complete build from them, but have used their uppers and furniture in my builds before. The free-float handguards tend to walk on you.

Replaced that and haven't had any complaints since.

Eh, you're probably right, and that will be a major bottleneck for running a full node, when the blockchain is TBs worth of data.
