That’s awesome. Metal recycling going to be a great income stream moving forward
We haven’t added that capability yet, but it’s on the radar for near-future
Melted down a bunch of sterling silver this weekend at the shop. Ended up with this 17 oz. bar

This is a great point. Couldn't agree more.
What a small, beautiful act of creating. Stuff like this makes life so much more full. You guys know how to live a great life!
This was true yesterday, it's true today and it will be true tomorrow

If you find yourself excusing genocide and pedophilia, you can be sure that you have absolutely no moral compass.

100%. As an American I can attest to how deeply ingrained this way of thinking is in an overwhelming majority of the population here
Confident it will help you see the problem we already see even more clearly. Plus the way the solutions are articulated are incredible
This account is quickly becoming nothing more than sharing quotes from Modern Chains lol. Can't recommend this enough to Bitcoiners or to any one who cherishes freedom. nostr:nprofile1qqsr3gwdr05shx5f35jpthqsrhcgwrc4kuh2y0xmpt0647kgp5p06zgprpmhxue69uhhqun9d45h2mfwwpexjmtpdshxuet56m0w9j book is a game-changer. More from chapter 1:
“Frederick Douglas, who endured actual chattel slavery, cautioned that if one man’s liberty is stolen, everyone’s freedom stands in peril” (14)
“To understand the reality of modern bondage, we must first recognize that slavery’s essence lies not in its outward trappings, but in its universal form: the coerced extraction of productive energy. Whether achieved by physical force or through convoluted financial mechanisms, the moral wrong remains the same. Again, we are not equating every method of enslavement or minimizing past atrocities; rather, we set its matter aside to highlight its form. Slavery persists wherever a person’s energy, physically, intellectually, or financially, is coercively appropriated, destroying their human dignity, and used to enrich another” (15)
“Modern slavery’s most pervasive weapon is the manipulation of the money supply. To be clear, not all price increases are immoral. Natural inflation can arise from extreme market disruptions: disasters, wars, or sudden changes in supply and demand. That is not our focus. The true menace is the deliberate expansion of the money supply: a grinding force of artificial inflation, engineered into our economic system by man’s hand. Consider that over the last forty-five years, the Federal Reserve has artificially expanded the overall money supply by a staggering 13,581%. This expansion, marketed as ‘stimulus,’ ‘growth,’ or ‘quantitative easing,’ diminished the purchasing power of every existing dollar” (23)
“Every new conjured dollar dilutes purchasing power, effectively transferring wealth from the many to those few who create and receive the money first” (23)
“Frederick Douglass famously observed the psychological divide that sustained slavery: the stratification between house slaves, those permitted relative comfort, and field slaves, those toiling under the lash. House slaves, enjoying proximity to power, better food, softer beds, and an occasional taste from the master’s table, saw themselves as separate from those working in the fields. This illusion of privilege bound them more tightly than chains ever could. It bred loyalty, not to justice or freedom, but to their masters and the system itself. Fearful of losing their fragile comforts, they resisted rebellion, preferring servitude with benefits over the uncertainty of true liberation” (25-26)

More absolute BARS from nostr:nprofile1qyv8wumn8ghj7urjv4kkjatd9ec8y6tdv9kzumn9wsqzqw9pe5d7jzu63xxjg9wuzqwlppc0zkmjag3umv9dl2h6eqxs9lgf0euh5m book Modern Chains. Hands down the best bitcoin / monetary system book out there. The depth is incredible. He gets to the heart of the fact that our fiat system is a literal form of enslavement:
"Although, today's outward trappings differ radically from chattel slavery, the same principle endures: same form different matter. What once bound human beings with iron shackles now ensnares them through currencies, contracts and credit systems. You are already ensnared in this system. Our acceptance of this monetary order arises less from any well-grounded argument and more from unreflective habit: a quiet assumption that 'this is how this must be.' In reality, nothing about it is inevitable. Modern financial strain is not a byproduct of fiscal mismanagement or political incompetence, but the consequence of moral deprivation: economic enslavement" (13)

"Silence in the face of evil, is evil itself. God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act"
- Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Martyr and theological warrior

Thank you! Had never heard of it but about to devour it lol
Not gonna lie these are some BARS 🙏🏻😂
It’s truly an insane time we’re living in. For almost a decade I didn’t vote (and still think voting is minimally impactful) and had almost no role as a citizen because I was so disgusted with it.
Having kids and becoming a Bitcoiner made me a lot more serious and creative about being the best citizen I can be to at least try to create a better world.
Part of being a good citizen is not being passive while we have pedophiles and treasonous plunders robbing up blind for a genocidal ethnostate. Always appreciate your perspective.
Incredible place. I’m constantly dropping it in comments on Substack and Twitter when people I follow complain about censorship. Got my first bite from a Substack author I follow who seems genuinely intrigued.
Want everyone to get their foot in the door to at least give this a shot
Technology isn’t neutral. It’s wealth and like all wealth, it comes with temptations: hubris, self sufficiency, and the illusion of autonomy. But the problem isn’t the tools themselves. The problem is anthropological.
The temptation is always gnostic: locate sin in the matter, in the architecture. Blame the tech. Blame the screen. Blame the wires. But the real problem resides in the heart of man, not the circuit board. The stuff is just stuff. It’s the telos we assign it that matters.
So the issue isn’t whether you use AI. You will and it’s already ambient. The real question is how? Under what conditions? According to whose terms?
Most AI tools operate as digital feudalism. You feed them your intellectual labor, they extract value, and you receive convenience in return. You’re not the sovereign, you’re the serf. Your prompts become training data. Your queries build someone else’s moat. You think you’re the user, but the architecture tells a different story: you’re the product.
There’s a better framework. nostr:nprofile1qqs8msutuusu385l6wpdzf2473d2zlh750yfayfseqwryr6mfazqvmgpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszvrhwden5te0d96xx6re94nk7mryv4h8ymmy94n82unrdah8g6r0wp5xzem4wvh8xcmpwfskytnfd5hs62a69r
Use tools that respect the imago Dei embedded in privacy. Use systems architected for sovereignty, not surveillance. Maple runs inference inside Trusted Execution Environments, hardware isolated enclaves where your prompts never leave in plaintext. End to end encryption. Cryptographic attestation. Zero data retention. trymaple No logs. No training corpus. No secondary use of your cognitive exhaust.
This isn’t just technical. Tools should serve you, not harvest you. Technology should augment human agency, not erode it.
You’ve been given tools. Extraordinary ones. The question is stewardship: Will you use them with wisdom, or succumb to algorithmically optimized addiction? With discipline, or functional dependence? With a vision for fruitfulness. Deep, patient, generative work or mere efficiency metrics that strip meaning from productivity?
Don’t be enslaved to your tools. Rule them. That’s the mandate. That’s always been the mandate.

So well said. Was reflecting on this when I was going back and forth with my dad on a political issue we completely disagreed on. He sent what was very clearly a summary by Grok (only AI he uses) with a source at the bottom.
I was really surprised by the summary (pro-Israel) v. the source (Al-Jezeera). When I read the article it was very clear that whatever grok was doing it was not summarizing that article AT ALL. But he didn’t even take the time to glance at the source, let alone read it. When I called him out on it, he had no response. The source grok used completely supported my point, but the summary supported his. Don’t know what he entered into the prompt, but demonstrates the exact point you’re making.
Great call out. Technically true (and very important to specify). Also important to acknowledge that functionally Nostr is a bitcoin ecosystem
Man does this resonate! When it really clicked it became impossible for me to shut up about. But I’ve been surprised too how little interest there is when I try to describe it to people. I gotta continually refine how I present it because I’m only becoming more convinced of how important this is
While western politicians sit on their hands and while some even do performative actions to call out Israel, it’s nowhere near enough because they continue to allow Israel to keep destroying the very existence of the Palestinian people in the most well documented genocide in history. Meanwhile heroes like this are literally putting their lives on the line heading into the teeth of the beast of the worst, most anti-life ideology in modern history (Zionism).
For the rest of my life I will not hesitate to call out Zionism for exactly what it is, no matter what the personal cost is. We’ve got to absolutely normalize calling out how disgusting Jewish supremacy is, even though we’ve been brainwashed by the Jewish media to for some reason allow racial supremacy for one group to be ok. The same group that is overwhelmingly behind widespread mass censorship under guise of “anti-semitism.” If you are still indifferent, playing both sideism, or God forbid you actually support Israel - then congratulations, because you are getting a window into how you would behave under other totalitarian regimes throughout history. You think you would’ve opposed the Nazis? Nah, you would have been the same spineless coward who couldn’t sacrifice your own well-being for the safety of others that you are today.
In fact Nazis were actually tame and reasonable in some ways compared to these blatantly demonic Zionists today. You will find much worse language on record from Zionists about Palestinians / Muslims / every single one of their neighbors, than you will about Nazis and what they actually said about their plan for Jews. Not a hot take, just a fact in my experience when I actually researched what the Nazis actually said about their “final solution” in their own words (or lack thereof). Way less historical evidence than our Mossad-controlled McGraw-Hill history book propaganda would have us believe. Don’t believe me? Look up the connection between Ghislane Maxwell’s father and McGraw Hill. It’s going to be tough to cut through Zionist-controlled, pro-censorship under the guise of “anti-semitism” AI search - but actually look into source documents.
This is not anti-Jewish. Some of the people I admire most who are the most rabid anti-Zionists are fully Jewish. And some of the most idolatrous, Zionist demons like
Mike Huckabee are actually self-proclaimed Christians even tho they blaspheme the blood of the prince of peace. People from every background have to completely dismantle the very foundations that make up #Zionism and kick this death cult to the dust bin of history forever.
Grateful #nostr and @primal give me the chance to put words like this to my name in a way that will follow me, can’t be erased and can’t be censored. I stand by these words and I always will. If this offends any one who follows me: Good! I’m glad we can sort out how differently we view the world up front. I don’t want to hear about how much you love freedom and want to bring down the fiat system, if you then support the most disgusting manifestation of the amalgamation of fiat and western hypocrisy. I don’t want to hear about how you are anti-censorship and pro-free speech when these Jews are the biggest driver behind censoring us and taking away our rights.
I deeply love our Muslim brothers and sisters and would like to make it a part of my life mission to build bridges between #Christians and #Muslims. Would love to use Nostr in whatever ways I can to do that and I’ve learned a lot about Bitcoin through the lens of #halal money. I would love to visit the the West Bank and Lebanon some day and I would love to learn Arabic. My personal experience with Muslims has been polar opposite of what hateful Westerners would want you to believe. Disproportionately hospitable, loving people especially compared to the jihadist propaganda we grew up with. Zionists want to stir up as much hate as they can between Muslims / Christians and left / right. When in reality we all need to unite and channel our righteous anger against the elite and especially against the Jewish cartel.
Happy Saturday. Lol

I’ve experienced both ends of this. First attempt on Nostr, if you can even call it that, was pathetically short lived and just came to experiment and passively consume content like I did on Twitter. It didn’t work and I quickly left.
But coming around the second time motivated by a much deeper dedication to contributing to freedom technologies and protocols in whatever way I can, it is a completely different experience.
One forced habit that I’ve committed to but found so unnatural is to “post content” or try to “build a following.” Even typing those words felt gross. I think many of us who are on here naturally feel that way.
But once you start to experience the positive feedback loops from the effort you put in in terms of both deep connections with substantive people and a much more creative, attentive posture towards the world, the controlled networks become less and less appealing.
May seem small but gestures like: deliberately using your platform to lift up smaller voices and then tracking down the source to make sure you give rightful credit - that just speaks to the disproportionate quality of character I’ve seen all over Nostr in the first couple months on here.
Wanna do everything we can to continue to cultivate whatever it is we got going on here because it’s really special.
“We are the algorithm” is an absolute bar 😭 🙏🏻
Some of my favorite people to follow on here I’ve found because someone else I enjoyed recommended them. Super high rate

All of which are worth a follow if you’re not already
As western society has largely become more effeminate and soft, so too has the modern Church in the West. Probably no greater example of this than how we conceptualize “love”.
Obviously there are different types of love, but as a general concept love is largely presented as being totally tolerant, never angry, always gentle and never firm, conflict-avoiding, etc. When you look at the life of Jesus through this lens however, the only conclusion you can reach is that there were many times when love incarnate was not actually “loving” at all! Think about the times where Jesus was flipping tables in the temple, excoriating the Jewish leaders for their corruption and even coming across as disrespectful to his own family. So we need to ask ourselves, is Jesus in the wrong or are we?
The most ironic part about this, is that I often see what I think is this more true, Jesus-like love in courageous women who hate evil and cling to what’s good, than I do in passive men who won’t stand for anything.
We’re going to take back our money from this cartel of thugs. All these international financiers including Keynes knew exactly what they were creating. Intentionally creating obscure mechanisms to destroy and extract as much as possible. We should take Keynes words at face value when he says:
“Lenin is said to have declared that the best way to destroy the Capitalist system was to debauch the currency. By a continuing process of inflation governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens. By this method, they not only confiscate, but they confiscate arbitrarily…
Lenin was right. There is no subtler, no surer means of overturning the existing basis of society than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of DESTRUCTION, and it does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose” - John Maynard Keyes

“I don’t trust your institution or the regulatory framework governing it.”
This might be the most succinct, perfect response to incorporate in multiple realms of life. Gets straight to the heart of the matter.

“We may one day become a great commercial and flourishing nation. But if in the pursuit of the means we should unfortunately stumble again on unfunded paper money or any similar species of fraud, we shall assuredly give a fatal stab to our national credit in its infancy”

I’ve only been on Nostr for a couple weeks, but had been looking for groups of bitcoiners to meet up with for years and had almost no success through Meet Up in the different places I lived.
Already in two weeks on the Orange Pill app I’ve been able to get connected with a group of 70 fellow-Bitcoiners that live in the same area of Atlanta. We have our own group chat with all kinds of unique events to that group, people share good reads related to BTC and BTC-adjacent stuff, it’s a great place to ask questions, etc. Have no idea what will come of this particular group long-term, but this is one more example of how the #nostr network differentiates itself in terms of the quality of connections you are capable of creating on here, and quickly! But like anything you get out what you put in, so the more doors you’re willing to knock on and explore, the more meaningful your experience will be on Nostr as a whole.
X and nostr:nprofile1qqs9xtvrphl7p8qnua0gk9zusft33lqjkqqr7cwkr6g8wusu0lle8jcpzamhxue69uhkummnw3ezuurpwfjhgmeww3hhwmspzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgmmrdqz aren’t even in the same realm when you think about all the bot slop, censorship and bad faith interactions that take place on there. Though X has way more content overall and still serves a purpose for me in a lot of niche areas / people I follow, it has nowhere near the depth, like-mindedness and true community that Nostr has thanks in large part to apps like Primal and Orange Pill.
The network effects are incredible to think about when you zoom out and consider what’s really happening at the most basic level. For a number of reasons, these network effects feel much more powerful on #nostr.
I’ve spent a 10+ years on Twitter and never met anyone new from it physically in person. I’ve spent two weeks on here and I’m already now on the #orangepill app, getting ready to meet someone in person and brainstorming long-term plans for how I can either create and / or contribute to the growth of in person groups in the areas I spend time all across #Atlanta. I’m realizing my wife may be right when she says I’m “spectrumy” because of how all in I get with my interests when they really hit 😂. I know many Bitcoiners and Nostr users can relate.
It’s also easy to get incredibly excited about the future potential of the network when you get these positive feedback loops so quickly too (I.e. people welcoming you on the #introduction page). Zaps and hashtags also add another level of potency to the power of these interactions as a single retweet or hash tag search can permanently change your future possibilities and you never know where a single interaction will end (again, especially with fellow Bitcoiners!). All this helps to contribute to reinforcing how powerful it can be when you pursue any interaction on here with good faith.
An important (and obvious) asterisk is that when you then get hit with bots, spam or bad faith attempts at just trying to sell you something or take advantage of you it has the opposite effect.
