Here’s what I think is coming:

1) force all US wallets to be registered under FBAR. Don’t worry, they’ll make it easy to do. Just hand over your tax ID and xpub.

2) release an API to check if a wallet address is registered

3) force exchanges to block all withdrawals to unregistered wallets; force software wallets to block all transfers from registered wallets to unregistered wallets; force businesses to block receipt of payments from unregistered wallets.

3) create a penalty, seizure and / or jail, for having control an unregistered wallet. If your unregistered bitcoin is transferred to a regulated entity, poof it’s gone.

Of course this won’t stop bitcoin. It’s just going to make life for Americans hell unless a few States stand up and push back. Also, countries will compete for bitcoiners so there will be places to go.

Given how one-sided, sensational and propagandish main stream media has become, I haven't watched it for a long time. I only watch alternative media podcasts such as what shows up on Rumble. I'm a bit worried that now I'm ONLY hearing from the outsiders, the ones excluded from the main stream. I don't want that either. I want to hear from reasonable people who I don't agree with. Where can I find them? Are there any mainstream but still sane and reasonable media sources? DW news in Germany and the WSJ are all I visit now. Anything else?

There was a time when Mountain Bell (AT&T) leased rotary-dial telephones to people for $9/mo.

When I was 19 I worked for AT&T as an account specialist. I dealt with accounts all day, every day, that were calling in to find out what a bill was for, and I'd have to ask questions, like verifying they still had the 4 rotary dial phones still. Most did not, as they were left behind in homes they'd sold or replaced with new touch-dial phones.

The people were always horrified to learn they'd been paying on them for 15-25 years.... Even more horrified to learn that they would then be charged for losing the equipment.
