She doesn’t realize that I’m not alone at NR, and that we have a ton of support from the Nostr community.

Has anyone actually used Nostrogen to generate a 5 letter vanity key? Mine's been running for 43 hours so far. I'm wondering if I should use the command line tool instead?

It's obviously fake, but that's not the point. NIP-05 is not verification. It's only an identifier. If these accounts want to be known as Tesla or YouTube or another brand @nostrsplebs.com would it really be impersonation? Major brands would use their own domain and be identified by their own domain.

Their implementation of Nostr Names with NIP-69 is highly flawed too. It's centralized as hell. But, I am glad they can do it. We are an open protocol. 🤙 That said, I don't believe any current clients that exist today will add this NIP. They can have their very own .btc corner of Nostr though.
