Begone centralization

Fed’s sell drugs on these sites, make a bunch of money, gather a bunch of info on buyers, and then say “see illegal stuff is happening” and crack down.

Scumbags

I hope someone out there spends time thinking about you. It just ain’t me

No, I live in self reliance. You live in other peoples problems.

The plight of the Argentinian isn’t relevant to him, nor is it to me. Shitcoin is subjective. You’re the one virtue signaling on behalf of a population which I’m sure you have zero interaction with.

Bitcoin is the only stable coin. It doesn’t seem that way because the commoner is forced to use worthless government fiat, but it’s the truth.

Your scenario is only possible if governments somehow artificially suppress hash rate via regulations in a coordinated fashion globally.

If price goes up, hash rate goes up until equilibrium is met. The higher the price goes, the more profitable older machines become.

The main value proposition of NOSTR is that it is decentralized. You can’t be banned, censored, Shadowbanned, etc.

It is a protocol which means that things will be build on top of it, such as storefronts, games, etc.

We’re early in development here, which explains the lack of perceived content, but consider this:

NOSTR is free from the perverse incentive model of social media as we know it. There are no advertisements, which means no incentive to promote engagement. This results in less controversy, toxicity, etc.

This is what social media should have been, and the more people we get to unplug from the nonsense (X, Reddit, Facebook, etc) the more vibrant NOSTR will become and the less power large tech firms will have over civil discourse, and the behaviors of the internet population at large.

Just goes to show the president is essentially a puppet position. Our government is run by factions of staffers, the president is the scapegoat in chief with minimal essential duties, and of those essential duties, 100% of them can be handled by someone else.

When you spend bitcoin, your jurisdictions tax laws may view that as disposing if an asset and there may be a tax associated with that. Not believing in the merit of taxation doesn’t absolve you of obligation, and the state WILL use violence to ensure compliance. Tread carefully.

You’re never going to vote your way into those nuclear weapons changing hands. Society needs to wake up to the fact that power rests at the top of the pyramid and everything else in this world is subservient to power.

The best way to vote is with your productivity (taking it to another jurisdiction), with your savings (divesting from American assets in favor of non-sovereign stores of wealth like gold silver and bitcoin), and reducing your consumption to just the necessities while simultaneously paying as little taxes as legally possible.

The ballot box doesn’t matter when at the end of the day your candidate either plays ball or gets assassinated.

You can always move elsewhere. You’re not being kept in your jurisdiction forcibly.

If you think civil disobedience is preferable to moving elsewhere, by all means, do it.

Stick to #bitcoin and learn how to self custody with cold storage, or end up like this dude

Freedom means accepting that your morals don’t apply to the collective. The law determines what is and isn’t permitted, not morals. When you find that your morals and the law are opposed, your options are to vote at the ballot box or vote with your feet (I.e. move to another jurisdiction)

The reality is that in a world where money is created arbitrarily and there’s no free market mechanism to displace that money, financial incentives become increasingly perverse over time.

Food quality deteriorates as the financial incentive to make cheaper and cheaper food arises (think monocropping, eating bugs, fertilizer dependence, pesticide usage, etc).

Work ethic deteriorates as the laborer are increasingly marginalized in favor of the shareholders and C-suite executives

This is the world we live in. You look around and wonder why people are overweight and under-motivated. It’s the money. It’s the GOVERNMENT money.

The more you understand this, the greater the drive to act accordingly.

Good luck, friends.

The people pulling the strings use language as a form of soft power.

The usual term is “flight to safety”. This is what’s used when describing capital’s rotation into gold during hard times. There is no convincing you that gold isn’t safe, that ship has sailed.

When discussing bitcoin, there are similar properties that allow it to be a flight to safety for capital during hard times, however, bitcoin is not as easily centralized as gold is. Much harder for the state to monopolize, naked short, manipulate the price etc.

Bitcoin isn’t a flight to quality, it’s a flight to safety, because the system isn’t safe.
