I think almost all pre-paid cards like this do not allow the cards to be used for online payments. Would be good to know if they are still able to be used in person everywhere or just at major brick and mortar retailers like Walmart.

I bought some beef from a local farmer this morning with cash just this morning.

Each purchase makes a difference!

Most farmers won't be interested in #bitcoin or #monero. Just use cash. It is private and they appreciate it. Eventually more farmers will accept crypto-currencies.

The "you placed the call" scam is used a lot now. Really started to rise about 2 years ago, but now you see it a lot.

This is happening a lot with PayPal, where a payment request is sent from PayPal using their system but has a phone number to call in the payment request message that is part of the scam.

Also happens with fake package tracking and tech support, et cetera.

It works because you are more likely to follow the scammers instructions if you initiated the phone call.

Yeah, that's fine. I mostly use Cinnamon and try different window managers from time to time. I've been using CWM (calm window manager) on my laptop, but very minimal config that is not optimized at all.

One of my sons re-did his workstation and wanted to try hyprland. He is really liking that. Looks really cool, but I don't want to switch to wayland.

I felt the same way. Enlightment DE looks really cool... but after using for a bit, it felt a bit clunky and difficult. I didn't look into setting up custom configuration.

I just downloaded it on #Linux today. Will give it a try. I've heard about Cake wallet for quite a while, but haven't actually used it until now.
