Not on Damus, which hides nsfw images but you can’t nsfw the ones you post lol. That was also part of the confusion tho.

Ok yeah, so the image is marked as nsfw on fedi. I was just confused because fedi will only hide the image, not the entire post.

Oh wait, I just realised maybe he set that content warning? I’m not sure tbh.

Sorry, I was looking for my recent post about it but couldn’t find it lol, I dunno if it’s because I deleted some relays.

I found the post though, it’s behind a warning saying it contains “rory” (?) for no apparent reason. nostr:note1nz3lvtvxpq7f0p0gydy2xaz4y76du4rd9jw89crur8tp7ywgtnmqw86djy

I agree. I’ve been using plebstr and I like it but it does some censoring too, but there are no settings or even a brief explanation as to how it works.

It’s sort of shocking how nostr devs have handled this censorship issue. I remember bringing it up to Vitor and he didn’t seem to care at all (until the Onyx fork).

Probably, yes. I’ve been to many cities and most have a general vibe one way or the other, even if they all have nice areas where wealthier ppl live.

Even if it’s uploaded from an app?

Thanks for that. I’m wondering if it removes metadata like nostr.build.

I guess my point is that devs should make things configurable, and be transparent about stuff especially censorship. Like what Vitor did after being pressured by the Onyx fork.

I thought I replied to this already.. 🤔

I’ll test it later though. Its annoying how clients do things differently.

I think trending could be fine if it’s organic. I dislike algorithms in general though, they’ll inevitably be used to censor ppl.
