Nostr has more interactions than fedi, and it has Snowden and Jack. I don’t think I’ve seen a single fedi post with more than 100 updoots.
Well there’s been a few attempts without any servers and it doesn’t work. So this is the closest thing to it that actually works, and it’s closer to decentralised than federated in that pic.

That’s just how it is because there’s no central servers. It’s actually decentralised unlike fedi.
I’ve had the same issue on fedi tbf, which is a much bigger pos that’s literally over a decade old so there’s no excuse.
It was explained to me earlier.. I think you can’t always tell because determining who is following you is based on follower lists posted to relays by clients. So if you share a relay, then it should remain intact. Otoh you’re on fedi and I just had to follow (again?) so idk.

I don’t understand, what does 1808 actually mean then? Just that it lets you play it right in the app?

I think you’re ignoring how difficult it would be to get ppl to even use your fork at all, not to mention the cost of maintaining it. It’s just as unreasonable as “learn to code”.
I also think nostr devs have a responsibility to implement things in a way that gives the user choice, your censorship filters being a good example of that issue.
The only reason it isn’t is because they pay politicians to look the other way.
