The differences lies in security and assurances.
I don't want to hold something that's less secure for most of my wealth.
I could think of having some privacy shitcoin or fiat for my weekly groceries, but only fiat is accepted atm.
S&P 500 has quadrupled in 10 years. So from a purely economic perspective you've lost money by investing in property instead of S&P 500.
Yes, I would rather own some Monero to buy my groceries for the week instead of cash, but that's not possible and probably never will be.
But how would one just spend Monero without holding or trading something for it first? 🤔
Monero is actually much less secure than Bitcoin on multiple levels.
What is this new spamming? What are they possibly trying to achieve? 🤔

Agree. I act almost like a communist within my family (almost everything is shared), almost like a socialist with my friend circle (we often socialize costs, i.e. in entertainment, or food when going cottage together). What comes to almost everything else, I'm almost like a full blown anarcho-capitalist 😀
Why would somebody want to hold asset that's less secure? 🤔

This project got way too elaborate for just practicing cloth animation, so I didn't finish the first shot.

What tools are you using? I've long wanted to learn how to animate and looking for a good ways to start and what tools to learn
How do one can estimate lost coins? I believe that's nearly impossible.
I don't believe you, bitcoin is the most stable coin out there.
If USD were stable, we wouldn't even need Bitcoin in the first place 🤷
Exactly Chief, furthermore the governments has no incentives to spend our money efficiently.
Government doesn't build the roads. They use our money to hire contractors to build them.
That's true, it changed the way I eat and now my shit looks different!
Blockstream get all the fees in Liquid.
I see that as a broken incentive model for longer period of time 🤔
Think about it.
If I were to send my friend some value now and I would like to use Monero as a privacy tool, how's that going to work?
Step 1: I convert some sats to XMR via some decentralized exchange
Step 2: I send XMR to my friend
Step3: My friend uses some exchange to convert XMR to sats
I think this approach is:
- Costly
- Unclear if it would echance your privacy ar overall
- Time consuming
- Security risk (you would have to deal with technology that offers less assurances that you would otherwise have)
You're right in a sense that some people are bad and do bad things no matter what, but overestimate the number of them.
99.9% of the people I've met are wonderful and awesome human beings, and data seems to support it.
Good people do bad only if they doesn't have any choice(i.e. almost anybody would steal if they're starving). #Bitcoin empovers people, give them the choice. Wherever it's adopted, it will reduce the violence significantly.
The question was if everybody stopped paying taxes. That would mean that also every other countries armies would be weaker.
So every time there would have to be reasons good enough to kill that ordinal people would voluntarily finance the war. I guess that there would be less war and wars would be much shorter 🤔
How do you pay for your groceries with watch only wallet?
GM!
Constantly checking #Bitcoin price is fiat mindset.
