Big update for people following my home mining optimization project:

I’m making it open source for anybody to use 🫵

- Real time data on your entire fleet

- Adjust pools

- Real time autonomous settings adjustments for your miners based on ASIC chip temp

- Connect your energy provider to run AI simulated mining schedules for maximum profitability

- Ability to set up telegram alerts for updates on your miners

- Pool (and backup pool) configuration

It’s currently on a private GitHub repository while I get it functional and deploy updates, but I’ll make a post when I open it up.

For anybody who doesn’t feel like reading through a whole repository and messing around with trying to run it, I want to flash it onto raspberry pi’s so all you have to do is plug it in - it’ll run on boot

Claude code is a beast

Previous iteration of the home miner optimization software relied on a smart plug to shut power off to a miner if its chip got too hot before giving it time to cool off and reboot. I think I just figured out a workaround.

For EPS32 miners like BitAxe and NerdQAxe, I’ll leverage an api.

For CGMiner-based miners like Antminer or Avalon, it’s going to look a little different. thermal_restart()

⬇️ Home Mining Optimization Project Note ⬇️

Ever since I got my first BitAxe, I’ve been looking for my own solutions on how to overclock, optimize, and increase daily rewards without going down the generic route of upgrading cooling or manually tinkering with frequency and voltage settings.

I thought why not try writing a python script to optimize a miner in real time. I had a raspberry pi lying around so I figured I’d write the script, deploy it on my raspberry pi, and watch it hash harder… so that’s exactly what I did.

✅ Here’s what it does (so far):

- Automatically detects BitAxes across my network on system boot

- Reads live chip temperature every 30 seconds ➡️ adjusts settings to ramp up or ramp down

- With a smart plug, shuts the BitAxe down at 68 degrees C, lets it cool down for 5 minutes, and reboots to prevent overheating

- Capable of controlling 100+ BitAxes over the same network. Breaks into parallel threads at 5 or more miners to keep up with monitoring chip temps at 30 second intervals

-Web dashboard to see which miners are connected + real time stats

So far, I’ve seen an increase in my average hashrate, an increase in my energy efficiency, and a significant increase in my daily mining rewards.

There is much more to come, but I want to put together plug n play kits for anybody wanting to run the same setup. Pre-flashed raspberry pi, smart plug, and ethernet.
